*Draft Local Plan for Buckinghamshire 2024 to 2045*

This version of the Plan is the final opportunity to review it and suggest changes before it is sent to a planning Inspector who will judge whether the plan is sound and can be taken forward. It is a very meaty document, although you can request a vegetarian option.

The last date for submitting responses is Sunday 06 September.

Have your say on Local Plan and other consultations.

The Lorax comes to Chesham......

You may already be aware of the proposal to remove trees in Eskdale Avenue, so briefly, Buckinghamshire Council (BC) has proposed the removal of 15 trees in Eskdale Avenue, Chesham, because some have caused damage to the pavements and some are restricting the pavement width.

However BC has not assessed the environmental impact of the proposal, or considered alternatives to felling the trees. There is significant opposition developing and the simple way to show your concern is to fill in the response form in the following link, simply saying why it is vitally important that, not only do we keep the trees we have, but we encourage the planting of more trees to help in the battle against climate change in and around Chesham.

The closing date for responding to Buckinghamshire Council is 24 August.

The UK faces growing risks from climate and nature breakdown - from extreme weather to economic disruption and national security threats. Yet the public has never been given a clear national briefing on the scale of these risks. Government should hold an emergency briefing from leading experts.

Thanks The Good Earth Gallery in Chesham for information about this........

"I am very aware that the ice and snow in the Arctic is receding at a rapid rate. Icebergs are gradually melting and in places breaking away, often leaving the local wildlife isolated. Climate change is having an impact that we cannot ignore. The more the ice melts, the hotter our summers will become. What can we, as protectors of this world, do to slow the pace at which this is happening?
I hope seeing my Arctic Inspirations may give us all time to reflect. If we were to all play a small part in this difficult question it could just make a difference".
