Apologies but due to low numbers and volunteer illness, this evening’s parents support
group is cancelled. Will reform in September…last Monday of the month thereafter.

Please do let us know if you’re planning on attending the parent support group next Monday evening. Trying to gauge interest and viability due to school holidays.

🌟 Archie Matthew Trust Parent Support Group 🌟

Are you a parent or carer of a child or young person with additional needs or SEND?

You're warmly invited to join us for our next Parent Support Group:
📅 Monday 27th July
🕖 7:00pm
📍 Bishops Cleeve Football Club

Following a fantastic first meeting, we're continuing to build a supportive community where parents and carers can connect, share experiences, and support one another in a safe, welcoming and confidential environment.

Whether you're at the start of your SEND journey or have years of experience, this group is a space to:
💙 Meet other parents who understand.
💙 Share experiences without judgement.
💙 Learn about your rights and available support.
💙 Access practical advice and useful resources.
💙 Help shape future sessions around the topics that matter most to you.

Everyone is welcome, and there's no pressure to speak—come along for a chat, a cuppa, and the reassurance that you're not alone.

Please feel free to share this post with anyone who may benefit.
We look forward to seeing you there!

A reminder for anyone who’d like to attend our parent support group on Monday!

A reminder for anyone who’d like to attend our parent support group on Monday!

Still time to register for this months parent support group.

THE ARCHIE MATTHEWS TRUST TO LAUNCH PARENT SUPPORT GROUP.

The Archie Matthews Trust is proud of the work we’ve done to support young men across Gloucestershire since our inception. Through our training and awareness programmes, we’ve prioritised supporting young men and helping families and communities better understand mental health and neurodivergence.
Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and one message has come through clearly: parents want a space of their own.
We’re pleased to share that a new Parent Support Group will launch at the end of June. This group will offer peer support from others with shared experiences, practical guidance, access to expert input and help navigating health, education, and care systems. Sessions will run once a month and will be held at Bishops Cleeve F.C. Kayte Lane, GL52 3PD with the first session to be held on Monday 29th June, 7pm to 8pm.
If you’d like to register your interest, please complete the form below. We’ll be in touch with full details nearer the time.

Please take the time to investigate and respond to the SEND consultation. It is SO important that our children and young people, and their families have their voices heard and their rights protected. A huge thanks to Zaphira at the ND Hub Gloucestershire for giving such a brilliant explanation and for offering support sessions to complete the consultation.

RESPOND TO THE CONSULTATION BEFORE 18th MAY.

Need some motivation for getting fit in the new year?

Sign up for the Gloucester Half Marathon and run for the Archie Matthews Trust!

We’ll cover the cost of your place and provide a free t-shirt to wear on the day. All we ask is that you commit to raising a minimum of £200 in sponsorship.

That covers the cost of 6 weeks’ individual support for a young man struggling with their MH so not only will you be working off that Christmas excess, you’ll be doing good as you go!

To sign up, email [email protected] by 11th January.
