We kindly ask everyone to cooperate so that both congregations can be accommodated smoothly.

As this is our first Jumu’ah since reopening, we kindly ask everyone to arrive early and allow sufficient time to settle in.

*Please also bear with our committee members and volunteers as we work together to manage the arrangements.*

We are all still learning and adapting to the reopened premises, and your patience, cooperation and understanding will be greatly appreciated.

As we prepare to welcome the community for Jumuah, we have introduced clearer entrance and prayer-space arrangements for brothers and sisters.

🕌 Chelmsford Muslim Society (CMS) *Refurbishment Update – Week 11 & 12*🏗️

Assalamualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

Alhamdulillah, we are delighted to share the latest progress on the refurbishment of our masjid:

- Entrance has had first layer of Egyptian cotton painted
- All bookshelves across 3 floors have been installed (waiting for varnish)
- Storage under the stairs has been installed
- Toilet cubicles have arrived and will be installed from Tuesday onward
- All shoe racks installed
- Toilets arriving and installed next week
- Hand dryer and feet dryer for Wudhu area to be installed by next week
- Coat hangers across the masjid to be installed next week
- Wudhu (Ablution) area taps done awaiting granite on top of the seats
- All outdoor signs for the masjid have been ordered hopefully they shall come and be installed within 2 weeks time
- Old part railing and shoe rack complete awaiting the glass

🤲 We Need Your Support

Due to additional works required by the Building Inspector to ensure the building fully complies with current building regulations, the cost of the refurbishment has exceeded our original budget.

We therefore humbly appeal to our brothers, sisters, families and supporters to please donate generously and help us complete this House of Allah.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
