Today is Pentecost, a day for us to remember the coming of the Holy Spirit and God's will to meet with us🕊️

We hope you join us in prayer on this special day 🙏💛

'God of love,
we welcome your Spirit afresh today.
We long for the courage your Spirit brings.
Empower us to live out our faith with boldness.
Open our hearts to understand the tongues of others,
especially those who cry out for justice and love.
Fill us not only on this holy day,
but each day that follows,
that we may be your people
faithful, compassionate, and transformed.
Amen.'

Today in Church History: The Day Charles Wesley Met Grace!

On this day (May 21, 1738), a sick and spiritually desperate Charles Wesley experienced a breakthrough that changed Christian music and history forever!

After months of struggling to find peace with God, Charles was resting in bed when he heard a voice say: "In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, arise, and believe, and thou shalt be healed..."

In that exact moment, the heavy burden of trying to earn his salvation vanished. He cast himself entirely on Christ, wrote "I believe, I believe!" in his journal, and received the ultimate Assurance of Faith.

Cheddar Methodist Church hold a clothing exchange morning on the 3rd Sat of every month. Everyone is invited to come along and help themselves, free of charge, to any of the clothing items available on the day. Please do come whether you have clothes to exchange or not- you are all very welcome. Refreshments will also be provided. The next clothing exchange is on Sat 20th June 10-12. Please put it in your diaries and invite your friends and family.
We will also be welcoming Naomi from ‘Boogie Beat’ to the next clothing exchange, so parents please bring your children and babies along for some singing and dancing fun.
