P. I.Y for Marie Curie
Yesterday, we kicked things off in true team style with a morning of Tombola and Play Your Cards Right in store, because apparently, that is how you prepare for a 5-mile relay walk! 😂
Then, eight brave souls (including our Store Manager) set off with our Paint It Roller to make the journey to Store 140 Strood. And yes… it was 35°C. 🥵
Did we let a tiny detail like extreme heat stop us? Absolutely not. 😎
Our Paint It Roller took in the sights, admired the Cathedral and Castle, tackled the hill climbs like they were merely a minor inconvenience, watched boats cruise along the river and soaked up the sunshine in the city that inspired the great Charles Dickens. 🎨🏰⛵☀️
Five miles, plenty of laughs, a fair amount of sweating, and one very well travelled roller later, we arrived safely and handed over to the wonderful Claire at 140 Strood, ready for its next adventure!
Who knew a roller could have a better social life than the rest of us? 😂
