Chartham Men’s Shed now has an agreed lease for our headquarters in the Old Laboratory Building, Station Road!!!
We’ll be here for quite a while - come and see us!
We are actively recruiting new members - you might have seen our posters around the village advertising Men’s Shed membership - a perfect Christmas present for Grandad, (or your uncle, brother cousin, or next door neighbour!).
Just message us if you’re interested - Better than socks!

A men’s workshop, supporting mental health through carpentry and crafts, has become the first thing to operate at a paper mill since it shut down.

Men’s Shed project number One successfully completed! Chartham’s new village sign is up, and looks great!

Chartham Men’s Shed is opening soon, to provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where men aged 50 years and over can come together to socialise, share skills, work on practical projects, and support one another.
We're here to foster wellbeing, encourage friendships, and contribute positively to the local community. Once we're fully operational we'll hopefully offer a wide range of activities, from woodwork and metalwork, gardening, IT/ computing, drawing and painting, repair shop, photography and most important, having a chat.

Edit: - we’ve decided to extend the age range and we will welcome men aged FORTY and over!
