Current Army Reserve cup holders 152 Regiment (N. Irish) RLC were first time winners of the Army Super Cup on Sunday afternoon in a match played in East Belfast, at the home of Northern Ireland Championship club Dundela FC.

The final is played between the victors of the Regular Challenge Cup versus the Reserve.

A pulsating match saw current Army Major Unit Challenge Cup holders 23 Parachute Engineer Regiment defeated 3-2.

Coming from behind twice goals from LCpl Ryan Crowe, LCpl Gary Johnson, LCpl Darren Paul secured the success. It was 152 keeper LCpl Andy Boyd who was named Player of the Match with some outstanding saves including one in injury time.

23 goal scorers were Mitch Annand
Frankie Fitzmaurice.

We are grateful to our sponsors of the cup Supacat for their continued support to the Association and it was great to host Jason Presbury who also presented the trophy to the winning skipper of 152.

A presentation was also made by Army FA Chair Colonel Dave Jones MBE to Dundela FC in appreciation of hosting the occasion.

All at the Army Football Association wish our friend Pamela Howson every success for the future. Today marks the last day for Pam in her role as Head of Product- Military at Everywhen. Pam has been involved in the military insurance market for more than 26 years. Everywhen (formerly Towergate Insurance) are the longest serving supporter of our Association as sponsors of the Army Challenge Cups since 1984; the 2026/27 Cup Final will be the commemorative 125th on Wednesday 5th May 2027.

One of Army Football's flagship knockout competitions, the Army Reserve Challenge Cup provides Army Reserve units from across the UK with the opportunity to compete for national honours while demonstrating the teamwork, resilience and camaraderie that define Reserve service.
