Three bulb-planting sessions under our belt this month and the village is going to look lovely in the spring!

This Sunday, 26th October, we'll be meeting at 'Jubilee Corner' (on the corner of The Street and New Road by our planters and bench) at 10 am. Please bring the usual spades, planters, buckets etc - I know we can count on the usual enthusiasm!

Thanks very much!

Bulb-planting again this Sunday, 12th October!

(Did you spot us on the verge at the Sutton Road end of the village last weekend?)

This Sunday, meet us at the village sign at the Ludham Road junction at 10 am, to help us complete the planting on the verge that we began last year.

Bring a spade if you can, but otherwise gloves, a trowel or handfork, and a bulb planter if you have one. Or just come along and say hello!

Any questions, call 07932 191558 or email [email protected]

CAT was delighted to be represented at this year's Biodiversity Fair at The Forum in Norwich on Saturday.

We took lots of publicity materials for our stall, where we had interesting conversations about our activities with visitors from far and wide, and had a great time networking with and being inspired by other like-minded groups from across the county.

It's bulb-planting time!

Our first session of the season is this Sunday, 5th October, and we'll be meeting at Trend's car park at 10 am to plant bulbs on the opposite verge and also a little further up on Sutton Road.

Do join us if you can. You'll need gloves and a hand trowel or fork, and a bucket can be useful. We will have our hi-viz jackets, but bring your own if you have one.

Becauase of proximity to traffic, this session won't be suitable for children, sorry.

Any questions, please ring 07932 191558 or email [email protected]

Has anyone got a little time tomorrow morning to help us clear the wildflower area at the corner of New Road and The Street?

We're going to strim but need people to rake up the cuttings.

We'll be there from 9 am tomorrow (Friday 12th) if you can help - just bring your rake!

Then after we've done some prep we can sow and plant and make it all look beautiful again next year!

A big thank-you to everyone who has helped to keep the primary school garden well-watered over the hot summer! Don't forget, we're meeting at the school at 9 a.m. on Monday morning (1st September) to tidy the wild area, cast an eye over the pond, check over the raised beds and decide what else needs to be planted. Gloves, secateurs, shears and/or strimmers required.

A reminder also about our next litter pick that hopefully you already have in your diary. It's on Saturday 27th September, meeting at the village hall at 10.00 and continuing to 12.00. Just half an hour of your time will help to clear the village of litter that can be very harmful to wildlife in addition to being unsightly and a health hazard.

Any questions, please just ring 07932 191558 or email [email protected]
