Well, thats the Summer over.
We hope all the children are now enjoying school.
Soon it will be time to take the hanging baskets down, for another year, and empty the planters. The town looked really well, and hopefully we will be able to go one better. Thanks to Robert Jackson, and Freshways for sorting the flowers out, without u guys, a lot of this wouldn’t be possible.
Halloween is just around the corner, and we will be having a party for the children of the town, this will be on Saturday 31st October 4pm to 6.30pm, in the Community House, Park View, we look forward to seeing u all.
Christmas
Our craft fair is on Saturday 21st November, from 12 till 5 pm, in Christ church hall, station road. We will be having, Carol singing, and Santa will be there as usual giving out sweets, and also a bit of music.
This year's Christmas raffle, we the group decided, that due to the cost of living, that we should change our prizes, so this years prizes are as follows..
1st prize 500 litres of heating oil
2nd prize 250 pounds shopping voucher
3rd prize full Christmas dinner (Turkey, Ham, roast Beef, with all the trimmings,
Tickets are the same price as last year. We would like u all to support the group, as without u a lot of our work, would be impossible.
Christmas lights 2026. We hope to have some new features., and will have to replace some of our old lights on the trees.
This year we will be having our pensioners Christmas dinner, at the Inn Main Street in the town, on Thursday 3rd December. This year we will be having Swinging Paddy attend. So this will be an afternoon of food, and dancing to all your favourite tunes.
Laura will take bookings on 1st November.
After all the festivities are over, the team will take a well earned rest, and then prepare for 2027.
