🌿 A little update from us about this week’s Home Educating Gathering 🌿
We’ve decided to cancel this week’s session due to low numbers and this lovely girl having a vet hospital appointment!
We’re going to take a little time to reflect on what families really need from these gatherings moving forward.
When we first shared the idea, we received such thoughtful feedback through the survey and lots of interest from local families, which was incredibly encouraging. But after the first few gatherings, numbers naturally started to dwindle a little, and we’d genuinely love to understand why.
Home education is beautifully diverse, and we know every family’s needs, rhythms and capacities are different. We want these gatherings to feel genuinely useful, welcoming and worth making the journey for.
So we’d really value your honest thoughts 🌱
What would make you more likely to come along regularly?
• Different times or days?
• More outdoor sessions?
• More structured activities?
• Specific themes or interests?
• A more social focus for parents?
• Something for older children?
• Less frequent gatherings?
We’re also considering running gatherings from the community garden over the summer months 🌿☀️
Would that appeal to your family?
Please feel free to comment below or send us a message privately if that feels easier. Every conversation helps us shape something that truly reflects the families it’s for.
Thank you to everyone who has supported, attended, shared ideas or quietly followed along so far. Community takes time to grow, and we’re still listening. 🤍
