💙 Can You Help Carlisle Mencap Find a New Minibus? 💙

We have a favour to ask our amazing community.

Our minibus plays a huge role in helping the people we support get out and about, attend activities, enjoy days out, access appointments, and stay connected with their communities. It's much more than just a vehicle, it's a lifeline to independence, friendship and opportunity.

We're now looking for a replacement accessible minibus and, if the right opportunity came along, potentially two. We already have some funding in place, but as a local charity we want to make every penny count.

We're looking for:
🚌 A new or good quality second-hand minibus
♿ A vehicle with a wheelchair lift
🤝 Any leads, contacts, recommendations or discounts that could help us secure the best possible deal

Do you work in the motor trade? Know a dealer? Have a contact who might be replacing a vehicle fleet? Perhaps your business could help us access a discount or point us in the right direction?

Every share, recommendation and introduction could make a real difference.

This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful reflection of the dedication, compassion and person-centred support our team provides every single day. 💙

A fantastic opportunity to join the team on a temporary basis, supporting people to achieve their employment goals.

🔹 Employment Specialist – Fixed Term until March 2028 (22.5-37.5 Hours)
Join us on a fixed-term basis and make a real difference by supporting individuals to access, secure and sustain employment.

As an Employment Specialist, you’ll work closely with individuals, employers and partners to provide tailored support and help people achieve their aspirations.
