What a beautiful set up from the Squirrels and Beavers from 123rd Carlisle Scout Group who entertained St Herbert’s church congregation after the church service this morning as well as their own parents and families for a lovely Mother’s Day lunch.

Some recent ugrades to our entrance way to make it more welcoming to all our regular hall users. It was green when we started on the 2nd January and now a lovely scout purple.

Massive thank you to The Rebuild Site CIC for the donations of flooring, paint and seat covers (more photos to come when we complete more work).
A special thank you to the adult volunteers who go above and beyond to do this work in their own time during the week or after section meetings finish on a night time.

We are grateful for any donations received to help to continue improving our beautiful hall for the community to use.

A little look at our hall, kitchen and stage. We have done some decorating to freshen up the wall’s, re backed notice boards and kept on top of cleaning.

The scout group use it 3 nights a week running 6 different sections, Squirrels 4-6 year olds, Beavers 6-8 year olds, Cubs 8-10 year olds, Scouts 10-14 year olds, Explorers 14-18 year olds, and Network 18-25 year olds. As well as supporting all the adult leaders. We have had an outstanding amount of support from the church and community welcoming us and we have a fantastic working relationship between all involved to get us where we are since moving in, to make the hall a success and get it back thriving like it use to be.

The hall has availability during the day and weekend for regular and one off classes, parties, after christening parties and meetings. Please message the page for more information and availability.

As many of you may be aware Upperby Parish Hall page has been quiet for a while, this has been due to a number of reasons beyond our control.
123rd Carlisle Scout group who turned the hall around and put many hours of unpaid work cleaning, tidying and making the hall and grounds a place to hold parties, meeting’s and get together’s as well as a fabulous jubilee celebration were given notice to leave! As of now Upperby Parish Hall is no longer taking bookings or is available to book through us.

We have now moved into our much cleaner, brighter, more welcoming and modern permanent new home at St Herbert’s and St Stephen’s church hall on Blackwell Road. We have opened our books and are taking booking for meetings, christenings, birthday parties etc and the best part…. We have a fully functioning kitchen.
