We were delighted to welcome back Wayne Griffiths, who joined both our Cardiff and Gwent choirs this week to talk to our members about Rhian’s Fund at Velindre and the reason behind our fundraising.

Our Hear Her Voice 2026 fundraising is now LIVE, and our members have already raised an amazing £2,287.94 including Gift Aid!

You can support our 2026 fundraising by donating here:

Last year, Hear Her Voice raised over £28,000 for Rhian’s Fund. This year, with both our Cardiff and Gwent projects taking part, we’re hoping to make another significant contribution to the work being supported at Velindre in Rhian’s memory.

A huge thank you to these brilliant singers for joining us, and to everyone who has already donated and supported Hear Her Voice. ❤️

And we’re off! 🎶

The first official week of Hear Her Voice 2026 is complete, with our Cardiff and Gwent projects now well underway!

Tonight in Gwent, our singers got through nearly two pieces and even made a start on our first unaccompanied piece, Bring Me Little Water, Silvy. Here’s a little glimpse from the rehearsal…

And if you’ve been watching from the sidelines thinking you’d like to be part of it, there’s still time to join us!

We’re keeping both our Cardiff and Gwent projects open for one final week, so you can still come along and join us at next week’s rehearsal.

WOW, GWENT! ❤️

What an incredible turnout for our Hear Her Voice Gwent Taster Evening tonight. Over 100 voices!

Following a fantastic turnout at our Cardiff taster last night too, it’s been a brilliant couple of evenings for Hear Her Voice.

It was also wonderful to have Suzanne, one of our Cardiff Sopranos, join us tonight to chat with the group and answer questions about her experience of Hear Her Voice.

And remember, these were only our optional taster evenings! If you couldn’t make it, you haven’t missed out.

Our full 9-week projects begin next week:

Cardiff: Wednesday 16th September, 7:00–8:45pm
Gwent: Thursday 17th September, 7:00–8:45pm

If you want to be a part of it, there’s still time to join us!

Last year, over 90 women performed in our first Hear Her Voice concert in Cardiff and every one of them had their own reason for joining. 🎶

For some, it was in memory of a loved one or because of their own experience with cancer. For others, it was about overcoming stage fright, meeting new people, making friends or simply finding the confidence to sing.

Here are just a few of their reasons.

What will yours be? ✨

Join us this autumn in Cardiff or Gwent.

HEAR HER VOICE – GWENT 2026 🎶

Hear Her Voice is coming to Gwent!

Following the incredible success of our first project in Cardiff, this September we’re launching a brand-new Hear Her Voice project in Gwent, and we’re looking for 50 women to join us.

Hear Her Voice is a women’s singing project designed to bring people together through music, whether you’re an experienced singer, haven’t sung since school or have never been part of a choir before.

Last year, more than 100 women joined our first project. Together, they performed in an unforgettable final concert, raised more than £28,000 for the Rhian Griffiths Forget Me Not Fund at Velindre, and created a community that has continued long after the original project finished.

Now, we want to bring that same opportunity to women across Gwent.

Over 9 weeks, we’ll come together every Thursday evening at Rougemont School in Newport, learning a programme spanning all sorts of musical styles, meeting new people and working towards our final concert at Newport Cathedral.

And you absolutely do not need to consider yourself a brilliant singer to take part. Maybe this is your opportunity to give it a go and quite literally find your voice.

🎶 Open to women of all abilities – no previous experience needed
📅 Thursday evenings, 7:00–8:45pm
📍 Rougemont School, Newport
🎵 9-week project, starting Thursday 17th September 2026
⛪ Final concert: Friday 13th November at Newport Cathedral

We’re also holding an optional taster evening on Thursday 10th September, giving you the chance to meet us, have a sing and find out whether the high, middle or low voice group is the best fit for you before the project officially begins.

50 places available. We’d love you to be one of them.

HEAR HER VOICE – CARDIFF 2026

After an incredible first year, Hear Her Voice is back!

Last year, more than 100 women came together for our first singing project, culminating in an unforgettable concert and raising over £28,000 for the Rhian Griffiths Forget Me Not Fund at Velindre. From that project, a permanent choir of more than 60 women was formed and this September, we’re doing it all again.

We’re looking for 50 women to join our new 9-week Cardiff project, bringing women together to sing, meet new people and raise money for an incredible cause.

🎶 Open to women of all abilities no previous experience needed
📅 Wednesday evenings in Cardiff, starting September 2026
🎵 9-week project
📍 Final concert: Saturday 14 November at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama

Whether you sing regularly or haven’t sung since school, we’d love you to join us.

We’re so grateful for the support and for helping us spread the word about Echoes of the Eisteddfod.

We’re incredibly excited to share the stage with the National Eisteddfod-winning Risca Male Choir as they prepare to return to the Eisteddfod to defend their title. It will be a privilege to perform alongside them, as well as the wonderful Clara Greening and Jeff Howard BEM, in what promises to be a truly special evening of music.

If you haven’t got your tickets yet, we’d love to see you there!
