Established in Cardiff in 2022, SJC Food Bank is a dedicated Islamic charity committed to serving our diverse community with compassion and without prejudice. Our dedicated volunteers carefully pack and distribute these provisions to those in need within our community once a month. In addition to our regular distributions, we respond promptly to emergency appeals, redirecting d

onations as necessary to support urgent humanitarian efforts. Currently, we are extending our aid to the Bangladesh flood appeal, providing critical support to those affected by this disaster. "Those who spend their wealth in Allah’s way by night and by day, secretly and publicly, they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve." (Quran 2:274)

At SJC Food Bank, our mission is to alleviate hunger and provide hope, guided by the principles of empathy, inclusivity, and community support.

We are absolutely buzzing to say a massive thank you to IBF World Champion Joe Cordina and former World Champion Steven Robinson for their incredible support of our local community! 🏆🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Both champions took the time to sign a pair of gloves which were auctioned off, raising vital funds to help us keep supporting those in need right here in our neighborhood. 🤝💚

It’s amazing to see local legends giving back and helping us make a real difference. Thank you, Joe and Steve, for being true champions inside and outside the ring! 🥊✨

✨ What an incredible evening filled with Barakah! ✨

A huge thank you to the 400 wonderful guests who attended our much-anticipated 3rd Annual Dinner. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better night or better company 💛

We were honoured to have our inspiring speaker Asim Hafiz help prepare our hearts and minds for the blessed month of Ramadan 🌙🤲

Our charity auction was a great success, with some fantastic items — including boxing gloves signed by former world champions Joe Cordina and Steve Robinson 🥊🔥

We were also delighted that our local MP and Deputy Mayor joined us and personally thanked you all for your continued support 🙏

A very special highlight of the night was the beautiful nasheeds performed by the amazing children of ILM Schools — they truly touched everyone’s hearts 🎶🕌

Alhamdulillah, we’re looking forward to welcoming our foodbank recipients this Saturday. Our dedicated team has been working hard to prepare essential items including rice, oil, sugar, beans, tuna, noodles, chickpeas and porridge — along with other generous donations from our wonderful local community 🛒💛

We’re grateful to every individual who contributes, volunteers or shares our work. Your support truly makes a difference.

📅 Please note: From next month, foodbank distribution will take place on the first Sunday of every month, at the same location. We hope this helps more people plan ahead with ease.
