We're looking to connect with fundraisers across Wales again this Autumn, and would love you to be a part of it by joining us at our Cymru Conference on 18 November in Cardiff.

If you have practical insights, experiences, challenges or ideas to share, why not join us as a speaker? There's no set theme; we just want to curate a programme that reflects the breadth, creativity and experience of fundraisers. New voices are as encouraged and valued as seasoned speakers, and a warm Welsh welcome awaits you.

If you're interested, please complete this short form by 30 June: https://ciof.org.uk/volunteer-with-us/national-regional-and-special-interest-groups/walescymru/cymru-fundraising-conference/?utm_source=copilot.com =ad928904-1406-4701-8783-49a8fc520100&msdynmkt_prefill=mktprfefc879f04c9c4feab678816a68d9ab29eoprf

Caryl was a talented and proud champion of Fundraising, and a dear friend to us all at Chartered Institute of Fundraising Cymru. We are devastated at her loss and send our heartfelt sympathies to her family, friends and colleagues at Remember a Charity and Chartered Institute of Fundraising.

Cwsg mewn hedd, annwyl Caryl 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 We will miss you greatly. Diolch am bopeth xx

Over the weekend we received the devastating news that our friend and colleague, Caryl Angharad Jones, has died at the age of just 30, after a short and sudden illness.
It's difficult to find the words.

Caryl was a brilliant marketer, creative thinker and passionate advocate for the causes and organisations she worked for. Through her work with us at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising and Remember A Charity, she helped charities tell their stories, reach new audiences and inspire support for causes that change lives.

But those who knew Caryl will remember far more than her professional talents.
She was clever, creative, kind and full of passion. She cared deeply about people and brought energy, warmth and enthusiasm to everything she did. The volunteers she worked with adored her, and she built friendships wherever she went.

Caryl was fiercely proud of Wales and the Welsh language. She cared deeply about her community and the things she loved, from her involvement with the Welsh Pony and Cob Association in Ceredigion to following her beloved Ospreys. Her love of animals, sport, culture and country shone through in everything she did.

Thirty is no age at all. The loss feels impossible to comprehend.

In the midst of such sadness, there is some comfort in knowing that Caryl was able to fulfil her final wish and marry her partner, Ash, in hospital on Wednesday. It is a precious source of peace amid an otherwise heartbreaking loss.

Our thoughts are with Caryl's family, friends and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside her. She made a lasting impression on so many people and will be missed enormously.

Rest in peace, Caryl.

Mae ein meddyliau a'n cydymdeimladau gyda theulu a ffrindiau Caryl yn ystod y cyfnod trist hwn.
