Carers Wales

Carers Wales Carers Wales is the Welsh wing of the charity, Carers UK. Carers Wales is a campaigning organisation for unpaid family carers in Wales.

We support the more than 310,000 people in Wales who provides care and to a family member, friend or neighbour who is disabled, has an illness or condition, or needs extra help as they grow older. Working as part of Carers UK we give expert advice, information and support to carers. We connect carers so no one has to care alone. We campaign together for lasting change, and we innovate to find new ways to reach and support unpaid carers.

đź’™ Volunteers' Week: Celebrating Our Media Volunteers đź’™

This Volunteers' Week, we'd like to say a huge thank you to our incredible media volunteers.

By sharing their personal experiences of caring with TV, radio, newspapers, and online media, they help shine a light on the realities of unpaid caring. Their stories raise awareness, challenge misconceptions, and help ensure carers' voices are heard.

Speaking publicly about personal experiences takes courage, and we're grateful to every volunteer who has helped tell the story of caring.

Thank you for helping create understanding, recognition, and change for carers everywhere.

âś… Make a real difference to carers' lives

The role is flexible, with a suggested commitment of just two hours per month.
