Thank you to everyone who participated in Sunday's National Mixed Championships. 14 teams battled throughout the day on some testing pistes and it was great to see some relatively new players battling it out against the more experienced.
Congratulations to Dave and Julie in comfortably claiming the title. Also well done to Ian and Aimee who went throughout the day without a loss only to fall at the last hurdle. All representing the Vale Petanque Club 🏴
A final well done should go to Kym and George (Twyn-ffrwd) who had a mix of results in the morning however they found their form in the afternoon to claim the Plate final from Chris and Jane (Caerleon).
While some rose to the top and others went the other way .. the most important win of all is that you were all out there playing and giving it your best - something that none of us should ever take for granted.
Thank you to the Welsh Petanque Association committee for running the event along with Caerleon RFC Petanque who provided the venue and facilities. Most of all thank you to everyone that participated and supported throughout the day.
