We meet at the Masonic Centre in Canterbury, Kent, UK and are part of the Province of East Kent.

The Lodge was consecrated in 1978, its name was taken from the mound in Dane John Gardens

Saw on Sky TV news this morning Dame Vera Baird the ex victims commissioner.
She was being interviewed about the situation of knives being carried by people in view of the recent stabbing of the teenager who was handcuffed etc.
However she went on to say knives are being carried legally by religious people and even the carrying of Scottish people in the ceremony dress of carrying a dirk in the stockings .
She further went on to say Freemasons also carry knives - where did that come from ???
Hopefully there will be a apology given about this false accusation

Great meeting at Canterbury Masonic centre when Dane John Lodge no 8810 held their last regular meeting before their annual summer recess .
We had a great lecture/talk on The Hope for Tomorrow cancer care treatment facility before our donation cheque of £500 was presented
We still welcome new members both initiates and joining brethren who appreciate what a great welcoming lodge we are

What a great night at Howfield Manor at Chartham when Dane John Lodge no 8810 held their annual Ladies night and raised over £1000 for charity,well done to all the organisers who made a great success

Dane John Lodge no 8810 are holding their annual Ladies night at Howfield Manor on Saturday 21st February 6.30 for 7.00 pm
Priced at £45 per person it is exceptionally good value with 4 course meal ,music and large Tombola ,always a great night enjoyed by all

Great meeting at the Canterbury Masonic centre last night when Dane John Lodge no 8810 had their regular meeting.The ceremony was that of an initiation when we brought a candidate into the fraternity of freemasonry.
The visitors enjoyed a superb ceremony in our unique Temple and afterwards an excellent festive board in the dining rooms afterwards

Dane John Lodge no 8810 use the very unique temple in the Canterbury Masonic centre.Currently the lodge is in “Summer Recess”
However when we resume back in October we would welcome any new joining members or indeed any new candidate who would enjoy and appreciate this very welcoming lodge
