Learning life skills and making tasty treats! 🍕

Before half term, Brownies in Sturry planned their own evening and wanted to learn some kitchen skills. They made tortilla pizzas and yummy flapjacks, learning how to weigh ingredients independently and trying new foods too!

Do you love a badge as much as we do?!

2nd Chartham Brownies have been working towards their Words Words Words challenge badge by making an A-Z list of animals, trying some word searches then making their own and by playing Hangman and Boggle.

What is your favourite word game? 📝

1st Canterbury Brownies have been making some impressive card towers this week for Network Stage 2 as part of their Know Myself Skills Builder!

What have you been doing in your units this week?

Young members came together to tackle a skills builder in a day today! They took on stages 2, 3 or 5 AND did some guiding for good (swipe to the end to see their haul for Canterbury Food Bank). They explored inside, outside and even travelled the world, all without leaving Chartham!

Thanks to our young members for coming along and to our wonderful volunteers for making the day happen 🤩

🌿 Making a difference in our local community! 💚

At the end of last term, one member of Chartham Brownies chose to organise a litter pick as part of her Gold Award. Our girls got stuck in, helping to clean up our local area and showing just how much of a difference we can make when we work together! 🧤🌍

We’re currently enjoying our summer break, but we’ll be back in action when the new term starts in September! 🎉

Could your daughter be our next community champion? 💚 Girlguiding Canterbury Division is a brilliant place to make friends, try new things, learn new skills and make a difference.

✨ Come and join us this September! ✨
Find out more about your local Girlguiding unit via the link in our bio.

On this Volunteers Week, we say a big thank you to all our volunteers in Canterbury Division. Without you, the young people in our units would not get the great experiences we deliver.

Thank you for your time, your creativity, your expertise and your support!

2nd Sturry Brownies enjoyed a campfire this week, working towards their Have Adventures theme award. They learned about building fires, safely using matches and, of course, had plenty of (rather sticky!) s’mores! 😋

Chartham Rainbows managed to get a photo at each one of our CityScape stops at the weekend… and had some tired leaders at the end!
