Cambuslang Parish Church is still ON Mondays and Wednesday nights. 🌶🥑🥕

Meet & 2 Veg would simply not have happened if it wasnt for our Jan.
She's been the backbone from initial discussions over 4 years ago with Cambuslang Parish Churches session, without whom it would not have happened.
Jan loves the environment and has green fingers and cannot stand food waste.
Shes done various talks on Meet & 2 Veg and has even been spokesperson on our local Shelley’s Community & Wellbeing Show radio show.
She also promotes the social support that the project has been able to provide locally.
Including supporting homeless indivuduals to signposting older people into more suitable accommodation as a few examples.
Having been in the design and planning, through to keyholding to doing food collections, promotion, shes done it all.
For that Jan, many people are very greatful.
Your just awesome ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Meet & 2 Veg at Cambuslang Parish Church has had a fridge guru for just over 4 years.
Stuart arrived on night one offering to help for one week only....... hes never left us and also manages the community volunteers travel expenses, with his previous banking career hes the man for the job. Passionate about food waste he tries to ensure our chilled food is distributed fairly until the fridge is empty.

Meet & 2 Veg at Flemington Hallside on a Thursday night would simply not function without our Alister.
He is our cluckers guru and works all week to ensure we have KFC in the freezer.
He mans the rota for the shop pick ups and the team inside and works alongside other oganisations to make sure we get the food shared out at far as we can.
This man loves to bowl, and is in need of a wee holiday after what has been a few exhausting weeks 🥳
He is also supported by his wee wifey Carol.

Meet & 2 Veg, always has things going on behind the scenes that many people are not aware of.
One our ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ volunteers Marri, is the brains behind the IT as well as doing occassional pick ups.
She makes sure our health and safety information is stored on our drive along side our upto date allergen information and keeps our rotas in check and is emergency contact on our emails.
She truely is our encyclopedia. 🥳

Rarely seen without a dog, a massive thank you to Margaret, Canine Campus volunteer who has been giving dog food to Meet & 2 Veg Project now for around 4 years. Most of which has been donated to Flemington Hallside on a Thursday night.

Continuing our celebration of volunteers for volunteers week, Meet & 2 Veg would like to thank Isla and Donald for volunteering.
Donald recently recieved his Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.
Isla is our little person feeder, on a good night she can secure enough fruit to feed 30 little people at a school in Glasgow.
We think shes awesome.
