READINGS is back for 2026! 🤩

This year’s public exhibition of collaborative works will open on 24th June in the Ruskin Gallery at Anglia Ruskin University for a limited time only! We will be holding a very special poetry reading and art sale event on the 26th June. The exhibition is FREE and unticketed from 10 AM - 6 PM each day, but you'll need to grab a ticket for the 26th (just so we know how many drinks to put on for the night!) Link for free tickets in bio ⬆️

The poets involved in the project this year were Leo Boix (), Lee Coddrington (), Wesley Freeman-Smith (), Daisy Thurston-Gent (), and Alice Willitts (). Their wonderful poems sparked so much inspiration for the students, and we’re truly thrilled to have the chance to showcase the artworks by the students of the MA Visual Text module at the Cambridge School of Art. Throughout the project, they have worked closely with their poets, and the work produced is truly outstanding. You won’t want to miss this unique chance to hear the poems that inspired them and take home one of these excellent pieces.

READINGS 2025 saw dozens of people flooding into the gallery at the end of June last year. We raised over £1000 pounds for the festival, and we’ve set our sights even higher this year. All funds raised from the sale of the artworks will go towards the Cambridge Poetry Festival, which will run in October this year at various locations across the city. More details on that soon 👀

As the shutters come down on 2025, I just wanted to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to everybody who took part in, bought a ticket for, and came along to an event run by the Festival this year!
You’ve given us a sensational start for this new iteration of the festival and I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of it. This year has proven that there is a huge appetite for poetry in Cambridge and we hope that this is only the beginning of many exciting things to come!

We have some very exciting irons in the fire for next year (announcements coming soon!) and, of course, we’re well underway with planning for the festival weekend in 2026!

We’ve put together a ‘2025 in review’ over on our website so come and give it a read. 🔗 in bio!
