Our next meeting is on 19 of August at the Fields Child and Family Centre.

We'll be chatting about breastfeeding beyond babyhood and so will talk around the joys and challenges of nursing older babies and toddlers. Come and meet others - we like to say, come for the support and stay for the community! And just like that is nearly August! Here are our group dates for this next month.

Our next meeting is on Wednesday 29 July at The Fields Child and Family Centre. We are going to focus especially on the early weeks and months but ALL ages welcome.

It's great to have a room full of those who are in the early days or settling into life with a new baby or and who are experienced.. all sharing experiences and community.

You don't have to have a problem to come to an LLL meeting, come and enjoy being with others who are breastfeeding, whatever that looks like for you.

It's Black Breastfeeding Week (B*W) at the end of August. As well as a time to focus on the racial disparities in healthcare and breastfeeding support evident in the UK, it is also a time to celebrate Black women's breastfeeding journeys.

We would love to feature stories and contributions from Black mothers and families on our social media during the week in August. We would love to share your stories, poem or art – could you help us?

Your words and your stories about breastfeeding and what breastfeeding support means to you are invaluable and could help many other families. If you would like to share your words as a Black breastfeeding mother, we would love to hear from you either by sending a message to the page or by email to [email protected] by the end of July.
