Kids Camp for Kids in Gaza

28/04/2024

A MASSIVE thank you to all the kids in Histon & Impington (and friends elsewhere), who camped out last week in near freezing conditions in aid of starving children in Gaza.

They helped raise a whopping £4350 as result.

It was very cold, there were a lot of layers worn and in some cases not a lot of sleep had but it was worth it to raise awareness and money for such an important cause.

You can still donate here if you want to:

Thanks to all 15 amazing kids who camped out last night, in whatever form. Pretty cold for those who were outside😬.

Fantastically, we have already raised nearly £4000 (with £800 extra in gift aid). We are still open for donations so hopefully even more will be raised for the children in Gaza.
Thank you for all your support ❤️

Only one more sleep to go!
It’s looking pretty cold tomorrow so hope you can stay warm if you are camping outside.

14 young people are taking part who have already raised over £3000 which is incredible!

If you feel able to, please post any photos of your campers (wherever they are camping) here so I can put into a post, or of their den if you’d prefer.

Good luck

Listen in to radio Cambridge 105 tomorrow after the 9am news when three children will be interviewed about their sponsored camp out. Cambridge Independent are also doing an article next week.

With just over a week to go, we have 10 campers and have already raised £2200, let’s try and reach £3000!

With 3 weeks to go we have raised 74% of our £1500 target which we really hope to exceed. So far, 8 children have committed to the camp with hopefully more to follow.

If you know anyone who might be interested, please share the below JustGiving page (which has instructions on how to join up). Or show your support by sponsoring our young campers.

If your child is planning to take part on the 20th April, please can I encourage you set up a fundraising page through below JustGiving page. We currently have 5 children and we have raised 1/3 of our target but hopefully we can do much more than this for children in Gaza.

On Saturday the 20th of April kids across Cambridgeshire and other parts of the UK are camping out together to raise vital funds to provide aid for children in Gaza who are hungry and homeless.

They are in urgent need of food, proper shelter and medical treatment.

So please ask your friends and family to sponsor your child to sleep out in their garden, treehouse, living room, or even under the kitchen table for just one night. All the money raised will go to UNICEF’s Gaza Emergency Fund.

If you want to take part click the link below for more instructions on our just giving page:
