Committee & Residents Monthly Meeting
Tuesday 3rd January 2026
Attendees: Monika GT (RSO), Tom (Chair), Nikki (Treasurer), Mande (Secretary), Tiffany, Hazel, Marcia & Angharad.
Apologies: Seyi & Cllr Ian Wingfield
RSO Report: MGT has been taking the time to get to know the estate, residents, grounds men and clean team and is taking note of all the areas of concern and working with the relevant teams to get all issues raised resolved. MGT will have a more detailed report for us at our April meeting.
Estate Inspections: MGT advised for the months of February and March the days can be flexible, but from April we will have a more structured routine where we attend the walkabouts with the grounds and cleaning managers.
Actions: MM to attend on the 18/2 and MP to attend on the 24/3
Melbury Drive/Sedgemoor: HC advised that the security gates had been deactivated again, this is an ongoing issue and seems that a resident may be responsible. It was discussed how we can prevent this from continuing and whether the CCTV cameras are active. MGT suggested a letter to be sent out to all the residents and to investigate the CCTV operation.
Actions: MGT to write a letter to all residents and investigate the CCTV operation and MP to reach out to Cllr Ian Wingfield to see if he can assist in any way.
NHF Update: TH attended the pitch meeting on the 14th January and advised it was very enjoyable and interesting. He will be returning on the 3rd March for the 2nd stage and if anyone would like to attend with him, please do get in touch.
Hall Hire: MP advised that assistance is needed with the hall bookings as committee members are not actively taking on dates. If you would like to become part of the hall committee, please contact us via email at [email protected]. We must advise that you also have to become a TRA Committee member to be on the Hall committee, but it does come with benefits.
AGM: Our AGM is confirmed for Tuesday 10th March at 7pm in the hall. MGT will be using the AGM as an opportunity to introduce herself to the residents and talk about her goals. MP advised it will need to be all hands-on deck for the leafleting as residents are required to be informed at least 4 weeks prior.
Actions: MP to design and get the poster and leaflets printed by SGTO, and to inform the committee when the block bundles of leaflets are ready for distribution.
Hall repaint: Since our meeting that was held in January, Southwark advised us that they do not have the money for a contractor to paint the hall, but they are willing to buy all the materials for us to complete the job ourselves. We agreed to this and the paint and materials were purchased for us. Unfortunately, we were not supplied with enough tools to carry out the job but agreed to purchase more so that the job can be completed. We are still waiting to hear confirmation of the front door refurbishment.
Actions: MP to reach out to Larry for an update. TD to purchase extra tools, and a small group needs to be formed to complete the repaint task.
A.O.B
Easter: TD will be hosting another great Easter event this year on Monday 6th April and it was agreed to bring up the budget to £400. TD requested assistance on the day, if you are able to lend a helping hand on the day please do reach out. Please be advised that when you assist with estate events you are rewarded with 1 free hall hire, T&Cs do apply.
Actions: TD to design and get the poster printed.
Daycare Hall Hire: TD requested to hire the hall at a daily rate instead of an hourly rate, and as she is a resident and a very active member of the committee this was agreed. Ofsted are still due to make a visit and in the meantime a rate will be agreed.
New Resident: AM introduced herself and has recently moved onto the estate and is keen to become more involved with the committee. MP will add her to the estate wats app group and TRA emailing list.
Thank you to all that attended, our next committee meeting will be on
Tuesday 7th April at 7.30pm. We hope to see you at the AGM on Tuesday 10th March at 7pm.
