Staff from Callington Library will be joining the Callington Summer Picnic tomorrow on the Recreation Ground on Saltash Road. We will be doing nursery rhymes and stories.

There is free parking opposite the park.

Hillsborough Residential Home offers full time and respite residential care for 65 years and above. We have gained “Good “in all areas: - Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well led with CQC (Care Quality Commission). Our Registered manager (RGN) has a vast of experience working within the Social Care Sector for over 10 years and over 20 years nursing experience.
Hillsborough prides itself on “Good Quality Care” with a holistic approach, working in partnership with External professionals, GPs, District Nursing Team, Occupational and Physiotherapist, Dieticians, Speech and Language, Dentists. Podiatrists / Chiropodist.
At Hillsborough, we like to give our residents as much choice as possible. With your own comfortable room to relax in, there is plenty of space to do your own thing. But we also have two lovely lounges, a sunny conservatory and our beautifully landscaped gardens where residents can socialise.
Staff qualifications cover First Aid, NVQ's up to level 5 in care, health and hygiene, moving and handling and a range of other related topics. We have people of all ages and experience. They are all trained to always encourage an independent outlook on life for every resident. The home provides high standards of care in all aspects of health and wellbeing while promoting independence.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the incredibly difficult task of reviewing more than 1,200 nominations for the Proud to Care Awards 2026.

The quality of this year’s nominations was exceptional, with so many heartwarming stories reflecting the dedication, compassion and difference made every day across Cornwall’s adult social care sector.
