🛟Yesterday Team Members John Hanns and Sara Waters visited the RNLI in Fowey to present them with the cheque for £400 which was raised at our shanty evening with the Wandering Elderberries

☀️ Whilst we love to see blue skies in photos, the backdrop of wind, mist and rain is a stark reminder of how quickly the weather can change and people get into trouble. Thus leading to these wonderful volunteers heading out in all weathers to assist with saving lives. 🌧️ ⛈️

⏳The countdown to Honey Fair 2026 - Golden Jubilee is on! 🐝

3rd October may seem ages away but lots of things in the lead up too.

11 of our supporting establishments have beautiful hampers to raffle, get yourself along and get into the draw. Should we introduce a prize for visiting all 11? 🤔🎟️

The Buzz is starting in the lead up to Honey Fair 2026.

11 of our loyal supporting public establishment are once again hosting honey fair hamper raffles and hoping for a hive of activity from their customers.

Each hamper carefully packed with honey themed items.

Callington Lions are proud to have been supporting all these local areas for 50 years and are extremely grateful for the locals showing their support.

HUGE Congratulations to our friends over at The Lions Club of Looe for the tremendous success on their annual duck race today.

The weather forecast was not in their side but they gave a duck and waddled on and the sun came out to watch the impressive sight of 6500 ducks get set off to race to the finish line.

And of course much loved Daphne the Duck was there to give warm cuddles and photos to spectators thanks to Tweedle Entertainments

You all know to pull in a crowd and make it so much much fun. Great job all. Thanks for having us.

And here’s the good news…

You don’t have to give up your whole day.
You don’t need to be an expert.
There are jobs for all abilities.

Whether you can spare a few hours helping set up, serving, stewarding, helping with stalls or pitching in with the clear-up, we’d LOVE to hear from you.

Honey Fair is one of the biggest days in the Callington calendar — and it’s only possible because local people get involved. ❤️
