Y Festri’ charitable mission is to promote and develop community arts initiatives and projects by providing a dedicated creative centre for performing, visual and digital arts, for the communities of Llanberis and the wider area in a resourced and managed community hall. aiff eu rheoli. Byddwn yn gwneud hyn drwy ddarparu ganolfan creadigol benodiedig ar gyfer perfformio a chelfyddydau gweledol a digidol i gymunedau Llanberis a’r ardal ehangach. Y Festri is the reinvigorated drama charity ‘Cwmni Drama Llanberis’. In its new guise the charity, now Y Festri, is an exciting new project, which has been borne out of a number of highly successful community arts projects in Llanberis. Y Festri aims to promote and develop community arts initiatives to those who live and work in Llanberis and Gwynedd. Y Festri promotes artistic inclusion to all, with activities through the medium of Welsh and English and a bilingual literature policy. Y Festri aims to respect the natural environment in which we are based and seeks to minimize our environmental impact wherever possible. Y Festri yw'r elusen ddrama sy’n ailfywiogi 'Cwmni Drama Llanberis'. Ar ei newydd wedd mae’r elusen, a elwir nawr yn Y Festri, yn brosiect newydd cyffrous, sydd wedi datblygu allan o nifer o brosiectau celfyddydol cymunedol llwyddiannus iawn yn Llanberis. Anelir Y Festri i hyrwyddo a datblygu mentrau celfyddydol cymunedol i'r rhai sy'n byw ac yn gweithio yn Llanberis, ac i Wynedd. Mae elusen yn hyrwyddo cynhwysiad artistig i bawb, gyda gweithgareddau yn cael eu darparu drwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg a'r Saesneg a pholisi llenyddiaeth dwyieithog. Anelir Y Festri hefyd i barchu'r amgylchedd naturiol yr ydym wedi eu lleoli ynddi, ac cheisio lleihau ein heffaith amgylcheddol ble bynnag y bo modd. Y Festri is in the process of renovating the old charities ‘Theatr Fach’, a former church vestry in the heart of Llanberis. Having once been a popular local theatre in this community, the building has fallen into disuse and disrepair. Y Festri will renovate this building, recreating a space for performance, rehearsal and the arts. This space will be used by Y Festri to facilitate our own projects, as well as being available for local groups. Mae 'Y Festri' yn y broses o adnewyddu festri’r eglwys yng nghanol Llanberis a elwir gynt gan yr elusen flaenorol yn ‘Theatr Fach’. Mi roedd unwaith yn theatr leol boblogaidd ond mae bellach wedi dadfeilio. Bydd Y Festri yn adewyddu’r adeilad, ac ail greu y gofod ar gyfer perfformio, ymarferion a’r celfyddydau. Bydd hefyd yn cael ei ddefnyddio i hyrwyddo prosiectau penodol sydd gan Y Festri yn o gystal á bod ar gael i grwpiau lleol. Y Festri is a registered charity, run and managed by a voluntary committee and a board of trustees. Membership of Y Festri is open to all and we welcome anyone who shares our interests to become a member. Mae Y Festri yn elusen gofrestredig, sy’n cael ei redeg a’u reoli gan bwyllgor a bwrdd o wirfoddolwyr lleol ymrwymedig.
