The work that goes into this weekend is extraordinary, and it doesn't go unnoticed.

To every parent, supporter, and friend cheering from the sidelines, enjoy every moment. These are memories that last a lifetime.

Tomorrow is the day. 2,400 young people descend on Okehampton Camp, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome everyone to our brilliant town. Before you travel, please take two minutes to read this. It will make your weekend much smoother.

There is a new traffic management system in place this year, introduced following community feedback about congestion at Ten Tors 2026. Please take note of the following:

Team vehicles: each team receives one Parking Pass via the Team Manager dashboard. It must be displayed clearly on the vehicle dashboard at all times.

Spectators: parking tickets must be bought in advance online only. Tickets are £8 per day (Saturday and Sunday are sold separately). Any vehicle arriving without a valid ticket will be turned away. An ANPR system is in operation and your vehicle registration number is required at point of purchase.

Disabled tickets are available in limited numbers. A valid Blue Badge must be displayed.

🛣️ 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽: Follow the event organiser signs on the day

If you're heading straight to Okehampton Camp, follow the event signage directly in or out. It will guide you up to Dartmoor or back home the best way. They intend to keep the traffic flowing and make peak times the least stressful for everyone, local or not. If local, check out for parking restrictions.

If stopping, and you want a proper breakfast before the off, a great lunch while the teams are on the moor, or a well-earned pint at the end of the day, our town centre businesses are ready and waiting for you. Pop in for supplies; they'd love to see you.

The Dartmoor Line runs straight into Okehampton. Easy, stress-free, and no parking to worry about at all. Then you can walk into the town or get collected.

🍺🎶 The London Inn—the legendary 10 Tors Beer Festival in full swing. The place to be seen. Open daily 10am to midnight, 10 cask ales from £4 a pint, and live music Saturday night from 9:30pm

🏛️🎖️ Museum of Dartmoor Life—open 10am to 4pm Friday and Saturday, with a special Ten Tors historic exhibition inside. Brilliant for families.

Before a single boot hits Dartmoor next week, the London Inn Okehampton kicks off their legendary 10 Tors Beer Festival, running from Wednesday 6th right through to Sunday 10th May. Ten ales served straight from the cask, all at £4 a pint. Food served 10am–2:30pm and 4:30–8pm daily. Easy train access and in the heart of the town.
And if you're staying Friday night ahead of the early start, enjoy a festival atmosphere. This festival has been a Ten Tors tradition for decades, and this year it's back, better than ever. Well done, Simon, for keeping the tradition going!

And if you're organised, something a little different, Clockwork Kitty's Ten Tors treat box, packed with mini versions of their most popular bakes, is exactly the kind of thing that disappears fast on a festival weekend like this. Pick one up for your picnic before they sell out.

You're up before the sun. The teams are setting off. You need coffee, warmth, and something proper to eat, fast. Clockwork Kitty will be open from 8am on Saturday with breakfast served in their homemade focaccia, specially created for the weekend. Other businesses in the Okehampton Victorian Shopping Arcade and other food and drink businesses will open a little earlier if you need to wrap your hands around something warm and breathe. The kids will be fine!

🏛️𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘄?
The teams are on the moor. You've got time. This is where Okehampton shines. Head to The Museum of Dartmoor Life, open 10am to 4pm Friday and Saturday, where a special Ten Tors historic exhibition is waiting—original medals, a genuine vintage anorak and knapsack from walks of years gone by. Perfect for families, and a brilliant way to feel connected to everything that makes this event so special.

Then why not head to Graylings in the beautiful Red Lion Yard for the finest fish and chips—serving from 12pm to 2pm on Saturday. They even have a restaurant and seats outside, but book in quick! Other takeaway options are open, and you will be spoilt for choice. Best call in before the queue builds.

As ever, the London Inn has live music from 9:30pm on Saturday, and they're open until midnight. Ten cask ales. Great food. A proper Okehampton evening. Did you book a local accommodation? There are some lovely options about.

A great day out for Okehampton this April 🇬🇧

Join us in Simmons Park on Sunday 26th April (10:00–16:00) for a fantastic St George’s Day celebration.

This is one of the standout community events in Okehampton’s calendar. A chance to bring people together, enjoy the town, and support local businesses.

Ten Tors brings thousands of people to our doorstep every year. Families, supporters, staff, and visitors all pass through, wait, spend time, and look for places to go.

For some, the value of the event to the town isn’t always clear. If that’s you, this is the year to come and experience it for yourself. Listen to music on the Friday and watch the sun set, see the footfall, understand the flow, and spot where the opportunities are for your business.

To support this, we’ve created a simple Ten Tors cheat sheet for levy payers. It breaks down when visitors are arriving, what they need at different times, and where the real opportunities sit across the weekend. It’s practical, easy to apply, and designed to help you make the most of the wave of visitors from across the local counties.

We’re also in conversations to see what the plan is for visitors to move through the town via Station Road, and look to make it desirable for people to properly visit, rather than pass it by on their way to the camp above the town.

So whether it’s opening a little earlier, offering something simple, or just observing what’s happening, this is a real chance to be part of something that can benefit everyone.

Start the day with a coffee or breakfast in town, pick up some fresh local produce, then head out for a walk along the River Okement or onto Dartmoor. Come back into town to refuel, browse independent shops, or enjoy a relaxed lunch or drink.
