πŸš¨πŸ’› WE’RE BUILDING SOMETHING BIGGER β€” AND WE NEED YOU! πŸ–€

Moreton Men is growing. Our vision is bigger. But we can’t do it alone.

Behind every great community is a team of people who care enough to make things happen. Now, we’re looking for those people to stand alongside us and help shape the future of Moreton Men Group CIC.

You don’t have to be a coach. You don’t have to have experience. And you certainly don’t have to give every spare hour you have.

You just need to believe that men’s mental health matters and that, together, we can make a difference.

πŸ’› What could YOU bring to Moreton Men?

⚽ Football, coaching and team management

πŸ“‹ Planning, organisation and administration

πŸ’° Fundraising, grants and sponsorship

πŸ“± Social media, marketing and communications

🀝 Community outreach and member support

🧠 Mental health, wellbeing and peer support

πŸŽ‰ Events and community activities

πŸ›οΈ Board and committee roles

πŸ’‘ Fresh ideas, professional skills or simply a willingness to help

Maybe you have skills we haven’t even thought of yet. Maybe you have experience that could help us grow. Or maybe you’re someone who wants to give back and be part of something that genuinely matters.

Whatever you can offer, we want to hear from you.

We’re building more than a sports group. We’re building connections, friendships and a community where men feel welcome, supported and less alone.

πŸ‘‡ SO, HERE’S OUR QUESTION FOR YOU:

What do YOU think you could help Moreton Men with?

Drop us a comment or send us a private message. Tell us what interests you, what skills you have, or simply how you’d like to get involved.

No pressure. No commitment at this stage. Just a conversation about what we could achieve together.

πŸ’› Every skill matters. Every helping hand counts. Every person makes a difference.

πŸ’› WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY | 10TH OCTOBER πŸ’›

Today, we’re reminded of the importance of looking after our mental health, checking in on one another, and creating a world where nobody feels they have to struggle in silence.

At Moreton Men Group CIC, we believe in the power of connection, community and conversation. Sometimes, the most important thing you can do for someone is simply listen, offer a bit of support, or let them know they’re not alone.

πŸ’› You don’t have to have all the answers.
πŸ’› You don’t have to be strong all the time.
πŸ’› You don’t have to wait until you’re at breaking point to ask for help.
πŸ’› And you never have to face things alone.

Mental health struggles aren’t always visible. Behind a smile, someone may be fighting a battle that nobody else can see. That’s why checking in matters β€” not just today, but every day.

A simple β€œAre you really okay?” can open the door to a conversation that makes all the difference. And if someone opens up to you, remember that listening without judgement can mean more than you realise.

To every man who is struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or finding it difficult to speak about how they feel: you matter, your feelings matter, and asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. πŸ’™

At Moreton Men Group CIC, we believe nobody should have to face their struggles alone. If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, please remember that support is available.
πŸ“ž Important helpline numbers:
πŸ’› NHS Mental Health Crisis Support: Call 111 and select option 2 (24/7).
πŸ’› Samaritans: Call 116 123 (free, 24/7).
πŸ’› Shout: Text SHOUT to 85258 (free, 24/7).
πŸ’› Suffolk Mind: 0300 111 6000.
πŸ’› Wellbeing Suffolk: 0300 123 1781.
🚨 Emergency: Call 999 if someone's life is in immediate danger.

Let’s continue to break down the stigma around men’s mental health, encourage honest conversations, and build a community where people feel safe to speak, supported when times are tough, and reminded that they belong.

Because at Moreton Men Group CIC, we know that our strength lies in our unity. πŸ’›πŸ–€

πŸ“£ Check in on your mates. Start the conversation. Be there for one another.

πŸ†πŸ’›πŸ–€ WHAT A NIGHT FOR MORETON MEN GROUP CIC! πŸ–€πŸ’›πŸ†

Last night, we attended the Bury Free Press Business Awards, and we are incredibly proud to share that WE WON the Contribution to the Community Award! πŸ†

Honestly, this means more to us than we can put into words. This award represents every person who has walked through our doors, every member who has found friendship, belonging or support, every volunteer who gives their time, and every person who has believed in what we are building.

But above all, this award belongs to our MEMBERS. πŸ’›πŸ–€

Moreton Men started in February 2024 with a simple idea: bring people together through sport, friendship and community, and create a place where nobody has to struggle alone.

Look at what we have built together.

We have grown into an award-winning community organisation, supported hundreds of people and created a community where people can feel included, valued and understood. We are so proud of every single person who has been part of this journey.

πŸ™ A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO VOTED FOR US.

Thank you to our members, volunteers, sponsors, partners, supporters and every individual and organisation that has stood beside us. Thank you to the businesses that have donated, the people who have fundraised, and those who quietly help behind the scenes. We see you, we appreciate you, and we genuinely could not do this without you.

πŸ’› BUT WE ALSO NEED TO BE HONEST ABOUT SOMETHING.

Winning awards and growing our impact doesn't mean we are financially secure.

We are a Community Interest Company, not a business driven by profit. We reinvest what we can back into our community, help people who cannot always afford to take part, and continually look for ways to reach those who need us most.

The reality is that our overheads continue to grow. Venue hire, equipment, insurance, activities and the everyday costs of keeping everything running all add up. We don't make much profit, and there are times when the cost of supporting our community outweighs what we bring in.

We can have all the ambition in the world, but without continued community support, we cannot sustain what we do.

We are incredibly grateful to the businesses, sponsors, donors, volunteers and individuals who already support us. Your contributions, whether financial, practical or through your time, make a genuine difference.

But we need that support to continue, and we need more people and businesses to get behind us if we are going to keep growing, reach more people and protect what we have built.

If you are a local business, an organisation, or someone who believes in what we do, please consider getting involved. Whether that means becoming a corporate partner, sponsoring an activity, donating, fundraising or simply helping us spread the word, every bit of support matters.

🀝 THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE ACHIEVED TOGETHER SO FAR:

πŸ† Abbeycroft Move More Awards 2025 – Active Community of the Year WINNERS.

πŸ† BBC Radio Suffolk Make a Difference Awards 2026 – Active Award WINNERS.

πŸ† Suffolk Community Awards 2026 – Highly Commended in the Whole Community Health & Wellbeing Award.

πŸ† Bury Free Press Business Awards 2026 – Contribution to the Community WINNERS!

⚽ Successfully hosted our first Sellebrity Soccer charity football event, bringing people together to raise awareness and support our cause.

πŸ’› Grown from a grassroots football initiative into a community supporting hundreds of people through sport, peer support, wellbeing activities and connection.

🀝 Continued building partnerships and opportunities to reach more people experiencing loneliness, isolation and challenges with their mental wellbeing.

πŸ† ACTIVE SUFFOLK AWARDS 2026 – FINALISTS!

And we are only getting started.

To every member who has trusted us, every person who has supported us, and every individual who has helped make Moreton Men what it is today: THANK YOU.

This award isn't just for the people who lead Moreton Men. It's for the people who make Moreton Men what it is. It's for the friendships formed, the support given, the difficult days made easier, and the community we continue to build together.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in us and also thank you to Bury Free Press for all you do and also a great night.

❀️ WE NEED YOUR HELP TO TELL THE MORETON MEN STORY ❀️

Over the last couple of years, Moreton Men has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined.

We know what we do matters, but sometimes the people who see the difference most clearly aren't the people attending Moreton Men themselves.

They're the partners
The wives and husbands
The girlfriends and boyfriends
The parents
The brothers and sisters
The friends
The family members

And sometimes they're the people we've personally helped along the way.

So we're asking for your help.
If Moreton Men has personally helped you, your family or someone you care about, we'd love to hear your story. ❀️
Maybe you've seen your partner become more confident.
Maybe your son, brother, dad or friend has found somewhere they feel comfortable and accepted.

Maybe you've watched someone become more active, make friends, get out of the house or simply start feeling like themselves again.
Maybe Moreton Men has personally supported you financially, helped you through a difficult time, helped with something you couldn't otherwise afford, or stepped in when you needed someone to help.

Whatever your experience, we'd genuinely love to hear it.
We're working hard to tell the wider story of who Moreton Men is, what we do and why it matters.

And one of the most powerful ways we can do that is through the genuine experiences of the people we've helped β€” and the people who have watched that difference happen.

You don't need to write an essay. πŸ˜‚

A few honest sentences about your experience can make a huge difference.

You can leave us a review on Facebook, or if you'd rather share your experience privately first, just send us a message. ❀️

And if you're talking about someone else, please only share what you're comfortable sharing and have their permission where appropriate.
Your words could help someone else who is struggling realise that Moreton Men might be somewhere they can belong.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, believed in us and helped us get to where we are today. ❀️

🀯❀️ WHAT A 24 HOURS IT’S BEEN FOR MORETON MEN! ❀️🀯

The last 24 hours have honestly been something else…

Yesterday, we received a letter from the Houses of Commons acknowledging and recognising the work Moreton Men is doing within our community. πŸ›οΈβ€οΈ

To have the work we started from a small grassroots idea recognised at that level is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Then, this morning, we received another amazing email from Active Suffolk letting us know that MORETON MEN HAVE BEEN SHORTLISTED AS FINALISTS FOR AN ACTIVE SUFFOLK AWARD! πŸ†πŸŽ‰

Honestly… WOW.

Sometimes you’re so busy trying to keep everything going, supporting people, organising sessions, dealing with the day-to-day and constantly looking at what needs doing next, that you don't actually stop and take in how far things have come.

But today we have. ❀️

From a simple idea to give men somewhere to go, somewhere to meet people, get active and feel like they belong… to being recognised by organisations and awards across Suffolk and beyond.

And this is on top of everything else we’ve been incredibly proud to achieve:

February 2024 the group was started

August 2025 registered as a CIC

And then ........

πŸ† 2025 Abbeycroft Community Awards – Community of the Year / Move More Award – WINNERS

πŸ† 2026 BBC Make a Difference Awards – Active Award – WINNERS

πŸ… 2026 Suffolk Community Awards – Whole Community Health & Wellbeing – HIGHLY COMMENDED

πŸ† 2026 Bury Free Press Business Awards – Contribution to the Community – FINALISTS

πŸ… 2026 Active Suffolk Awards – FINALISTS

We genuinely never set out to win awards. We set out to help people.

The awards and recognition are just an incredible reminder that what our members, volunteers, supporters and everyone involved with Moreton Men are doing really does matter.

A massive thank you to everyone who has believed in us, supported us, volunteered, sponsored us, attended our sessions or simply shared what we do. ❀️

This belongs to every single one of you.

What a 24 hours. What a journey. And what a future we’ve got ahead of us. πŸ’›πŸ–€

πŸ’›πŸ–€ CORPORATE PARTNERS WANTED πŸ–€πŸ’›

Fancy being part of an award-winning community mental health group?

We’re looking for local businesses and organisations to become Corporate Partners of Moreton Men Group CIC.

We’re a community organisation using sport, connection and peer support to help tackle men’s mental health, isolation and loneliness β€” creating an inclusive, non-judgemental space where people can feel that they belong.

πŸ† Award-winning community organisation

πŸ’› Supporting people in our community

πŸ–€ Tackling loneliness and isolation

🀝 Creating real partnerships with local businesses

⚽ Using sport and community activities to bring people together

But we want to do even more.

With the right Corporate Partners behind us, we can reach more people, expand what we offer and continue building a stronger, more connected community.

Whether you're a small independent business or a larger organisation, we’d love to talk to you.

Your support could help us continue the work we’re doing β€” while your business becomes part of something that is making a real difference to people’s lives.

Let’s work together. Let’s make a difference.
