Today's 'small win' might be:
• They wore socks
• They tried a new food
• They asked for help instead of melting down
• You stayed regulated when they didn't
• You said the script you've practised at a school meeting

Tiny moves count. Stack them up — that's how mountains shift. 💛

Have you read 'When the World Gets Loud' with your child? 📖

It's our gentle picture-book journey through sensory overwhelm — the buzz, the buzz, the BUZZ — and the quiet moments that bring us back.

Perfect for:
🌟 The night before a busy school day
🌟 After-school decompression
🌟 Explaining 'why I needed my headphones' to a sibling

Slow is a strategy.

Mindful Monday: slow is not the opposite of progress — it IS progress, for many
autistic people. Especially in summer. Especially after a long school year. If
your child wants to do less, that's wisdom, not laziness. Match their pace.

Don't compare your child to neurotypical milestones.
Don't compare yourself to parents whose kids aren't doing what yours are.
Don't compare today's hard day to last week's easier one.

Your child's progress is theirs. Your parenting is yours. There is no league table. 💛

Resource spotlight: Social Stories. 📘

Social stories gently walk a child through a situation — a dentist visit, a new school, a change in routine — so the unfamiliar feels safer and more predictable.

They're a simple, powerful way to reduce anxiety. Find our free social stories on the site. ✨

Feeling overwhelmed? We're here to help. 🤝

Our 'Here to Help' hub brings together everything in one place — our blog, free resources, support packs and learning — so you can find practical, neuro-affirming support without the overwhelm.

Wherever you are on the journey, you don't have to do it alone. 💛

The beach is amazing — and it can also be sand, screaming, sun, smells, slippery underfoot and 'NO YOU CAN'T HAVE ANOTHER 99'.

If a full beach day is too much, try:
🌊 30 minutes early, no crowd
🪣 A paddling pool in the garden with shells & sand from a pet shop
🐚 A scavenger hunt at a quieter cove

Smaller is not 'less'. It's right-sized. 💛

Myth-busting time. 💥

Myth: 'Autistic people don't feel empathy.'
Truth: many autistic people feel empathy deeply — sometimes overwhelmingly.

Misunderstandings like this cause real harm. Replacing myths with understanding helps autistic children feel seen and accepted.

We bust more common autism myths on our site. 🔗
