Sharon who is a member of our Trefoil Guild is using her volunteering in the Bookmark Project towards her Voyage Award. Please take a look at the auction she is running with her Brownies and support them if you can:

The Bookmark Project is a charity auction run by 1st Burley brownies and their leaders. Each year they auction hundreds of bookmarks doodled by authors, illustrators and celebrities to raise money for Katiyo Primary School in Zimbabwe where they are currently trying to build a school library, provide books and support other projects the school needs . They have over 480 bookmarks they are auctioning including ones by Ian Rankin, Mary Berry, Stephen Fry, Catherine Tate, Julia Donaldson, Michael Sheen and many more.

Burley Trefoil volunteered at Cityscapes adventure in York. Lisa had a fabulous time helping so many members have a great time. She met the lovely Mhairi , the assistant chief guide but she’d run out of badges so Lisa has just a photo of a badge to bring home.( Yes Lisa is still sulking about it🤣). We have also recruited a new member who loves badges and events as much as the rest of the group does. Welcome Janet 😍

This month Burley Trefoil members have been working on the Topaz challenge. It was an enjoyable evening of scrapbooking and friendship bracelet making. They even had a special visit from the local Ranger unit with their home made pancakes.

Members of Burley-in-Wharfedale Trefoil Guild travelled to Brussels this week to explore the city and take part in Girlguiding North East England Postcards from Brussels event, we enjoyed chocolate, waffles, museums, badges, Belgian Fries - they're not French! and making new friends.
