Budleigh Salterton Ladies Choir

Budleigh Salterton Ladies Choir is a community choir for women of all ages. We join together to make music on Wednesdays and stage two concerts a year.

All welcome - you don't have to read music.

Our last concert of the season is on Saturday 6th June, 7pm at Holy Trinity Church in Exmouth. Please join us for an evening of fun and music celebrating our beautiful coast and countryside. Our policy is to always support local charities and therefore in supporting NCI Exmouth we were assured that all monies raised for them will go directly to fund the Coastwatch team in Exmouth who have been having a busy time looking out for us all during this spell of beautiful weather. Tickets £10 on the door.

Join us at our Concert, This Wednesday 20th May at St Peter's Church.

Our new Musical Director Rachel Branston has chosen a fabulous selection of songs and verse to celebrate All Things Bright and Beautiful, including composing a song especially for us! The programme also includes songs by John Rutter to mark his 90th year. We are very excited to sing for you so please come along and share the evening with us. Raising money for NCI Exmouth Coastwatch.

Sandra Jepps completes our new musical line-up. We are delighted that she was able to join us following her recent retirement. Many of you will recognise Sandra from her work with other local choirs.

We are delighted to welcome our new Musical Director Rachel Branston, Rachel is an amazingly talented musician and composer with over 40 years experience of directing choirs and developing voices from young to the more mature. She is also a wonderful composer and has already composed a new song especially for our choir inspired by the sea. Her first concert is “All Things Bright and Beautiful”. So put 20th May (Budleigh Salterton) and 6th June (Exmouth) in your diaries.

What an amazing evening! Thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas Concert at St Peter's Church in Budleigh Salterton. We had our largest audience to date who all joined in enthusiastically with the community carols. Our guest charity Devon Freewheelers Blood Bikes gave a heartfelt talk about the contribution they provide to the community. We raised an impressive amount for them and some of our audience got to experience what it feels like to be a blood biker!
We are now looking forward to an exciting 2026. Singing, making music, having fun and raising money for local Devon charities.

Join us at Our Christmas Concert on 10th December at St Peter’s Church in Budleigh Salterton and enjoy seasonal music with a glass of wine and mince pie included in the ticket price £10.00 on the door

Halloween and Bonfire night are just a distant memory. The shops are full of Christmas decorations…. Too soon? It’s all very stressful. So book a little treat for yourself. The Budleigh Salterton Ladies Choir CHRISTMAS CONCERT is just the thing to relax, enjoy our Christmas music from Traditional through to Musicals and Pop and get a warm fuzzy feeling knowing you will be contributing to an excellent local charity at the same time! This Christmas we are supporting the wonderful Devon Freewheelers Blood Bikes. So please join us for a magical evening of music to welcome in the Christmas season on Wednesday 10th December at St Peter’s Church, Budleigh Salterton.

It's the 1st of September and the first day of Autumn. Our members are getting back together this week for the first day of term. Excited to learn which pieces our Musical Director has chosen for our Christmas Concert. Yes, that's right, from Wednesday onwards if you hear Christmas songs coming the hall at St Peter's Church that will be us practicing hard!

It's not too soon to put the date of our Christmas Concert in your diaries!
