It's our birthday, Scouts! 🎉 🥳 ✨

119 years since the very first experimental Scout camp pitched up on Brownsea Island, Dorset.

We’re so proud of everything our volunteers have done since then to give young people a place to belong. Thank you to you all! 🙌

A huge Thank You to the amazing members of Cornwall Flying Club for having us down at Bodmin Airfield .

I think you've got some new members flying your way ✈️👩🏼‍✈️🧑‍✈️⚜️!

It was great to learn about the airfield and how it all works!

We got to : learn about and sit in a range of planes, practice our phonetic alphabet in the tower, pick the brains of pilots from all sorts of exciting backgrounds, see various small aircraft 🪂🚁 take off and show us safety checks and planning in real time, discuss the equations and thought processes behind route planning and aviation rules plus we even grabbed some tea at the AeroDine Café!

Explorers make space on your shirts - New badge coming in to land !

If you're ever heading past you should check them out, grab a bite, enjoy the view - if your lucky you'll catch some aircraft doing their thing!

As the patron saint of Scouting, St. George's Day is a time for Scouts all over the world to come together and reflect on what it means to be a Scout - with many choosing to renew their promise.

However you're celebrating this year, we hope you have a fantastic time!

What a weekend!

We had a Fabulous time in London for the London Monopoly Run.

We had 3 teams this year- Scrambled Legs, Mind The Gap! & Run Forest Run.

Teams raced around London by Bus, Boat, Tube and foot gathering points by visiting board locations,completing sets, chance card and community chest tasks and bonus pop-ups!

A huge thank you to our friends at 12th Enfield Scouts for their incredible hospitality for yet another year ❤️.

They have an incredible facility - allowing us to enjoy beautiful campfires both nights, as well as a disco!
Best of all not having to faff with tents by kipping indoors.

Fun had and important life skills learnt- we now have some happy but shattered kiddos indulging in some minibus karaoke 🎤🎶.

Endlessly proud of this bunch for smashing all they go for!
Looking forward to being back next year !!
