I'm so proud of all the amazing Mum's that volunteer their time to keep this amazing network going. Every week I'm inspired and awed when members share the amazing things they are doing in their local area. And the training and support from the network helps them (and us) to do that. This includes campaigning with councils to adopt sustainable policies, lobbying our MPs, organising events and activities, supporting schools with their aims and so many initiatives that also help people to save money and be healthier.
We don't fundraise often, thanks to the amazing people who give their time for free. Any donations really will have a huge impact

Huge news - we hit our original fundraising target of £20k!

Even though we achieved our match-funding limit, every £ donated will come to us.

The funding will help ensure the future of Mothers CAN and allow us to train even more mums across the UK in community organising skills, to make more effective change in local communities.

Please do keep on donating if you haven’t already. Every £ will be used to do more of what we do best. The campaign closes on midday Weds 29th.

To date, this work has contributed to:
• Policy influence (e.g. Edinburgh’s high-carbon advertising ban)
• Community-led environmental innovation
• Local improvements in air quality and sustainable transport

We love the work that Living Streets do to help everyone to be able to benefit from walking and cycling. You might be familiar with their Walk to School Week or the badges children can earn for walking, cycling and scooting to school or for park & stride. Don't forget to book onto our free online event on 18 November for advice on having productive conversations about climate action - whether as part of a community group with a goal in mind, or simply with your friends and family.

You'll hear from Rachael Orr, CEO of Climate Outreach - a charity made up of expert communicators and researchers which help people tell great climate stories and inspire action. Rachael will share highlights from their latest ‘Britain Talks Climate’ research, along with framings that work well and less well, and will give us advice on how to build trust when talking about climate.

As with all of our sessions, these are designed with busy mums in mind. Tune in from 8.15pm with or without your kids in pyjamas, and ask Rachael and our network any question you like. No question is too silly or not important.
