We are delighted to announce that Paul Algeo, Blythswood’s Church Engagement Officer in South Scotland, has taken on the role of Shoe Box Appeal Coordinator.

Jeremy Ross, Blythswood's CEO, says, "Paul will be able to continue engaging with churches in the local area as well as offering support to our shoebox volunteers and the various sort stations around Scotland, England, and Northern Ireland."

Talita K*m is more than a place to learn - it is a place to be seen and heard

When Irinel first came to Talita K*m, he didn’t speak to anyone. He only communicated by nodding or shaking his head.

At Talita K*m, he was met with patience, warmth, and consistent support. A psychologist began working with him, and his teacher found tasks he could complete to help him feel engaged and busy.

Drop off your empty shoeboxes at the Baptist Church Hall and enjoy a fly cup when you are there - Fly Cup Friday is tomorrow. The Blythswood shop in Buckie will also accept empty shoeboxes for us to wrap. Thank you!

It is great idea to be buying items for your boxes throughout the year - keep an eye on sales as seasons change. So many winter things are on sale just now and ideal for boxes. Soap and toothpaste are always needed too.

All styles of shoebox are needed - tomorrow is Fly Cup Friday at Buckie Baptist Church hall when you can hand in your boxes and get a fly cup too, the Blythswood Shop in Buckie will also accept boxes for us to wrap. Thanks for all your support!
