Play Works Play Works is a local charity that supports children, families and communities across West Lothian. We love outdoor adventures and play is our work!

We offer a wide range of play-based activities, groups, one-to-one supports and community events. Play Works has been supporting children, families and communities, across West Lothian, since 1988. We are established, playful & adventurous. From our beginnings at Broxburn Family Centre, we opened The Range Playground in 1997, followed by Simply Play in 2010, the Dale Hub in 2013 and Playbase in 20

17. In 2022 we brought everything together under the name Play Works. We believe that play works for children, for families and for communities and we know, from research and our own experience, that a range of play and adventurous activities, benefit children greatly and improve their wellbeing and outcomes.

👶Did you know our Play Babies session takes place every Monday from 1pm to 2pm at Broxburn Family Centre?

Play Babies is a relaxed and welcoming group for parents, carers and babies from birth onwards. It's a wonderful opportunity for little ones to explore sensory play, discover new experiences and begin developing through play in a safe and supportive environment.

The session is just as much for grown-ups too, offering a chance to meet other parents, share experiences, enjoy a chat and make new connections within the community.

Whether you're a first-time parent or adding to your growing family, there's always a warm welcome waiting for you.

Did you know our Stay & Play session takes place every Wednesday from 10am to 11am at Broxburn Family Centre?

It's a fun, welcoming space where children can explore, play and learn through a variety of activities, while parents and carers have the opportunity to meet others and enjoy a chat too.

Play is one of the most important ways children learn, and we love creating opportunities for families to make memories together.

🌟 Our groups are back at The Dale Hub! 🌟

After our fantastic summer sessions, we're delighted to welcome everyone back to our regular sessions at The Dale Hub in Armadale.

From Baby Massage and Messy Babies to Stay & Play and Cold Water Immersion, our groups are a great way to connect with others, learn something new, and enjoy some time for yourself or with your little ones. 💜

We've had a brilliant summer filled with fun activities, laughter and lots of special moments. Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing some of our favourite memories and highlights, so keep an eye on our page! 📸☀️
