🍎 Apple Pressing Day at Willey Village Hall 🍎

What a fantastic day at Willey Village Hall for this year's Apple Pressing Day last weekend!

It was great to see so many people come along with their apples and get involved. Lots of visitors enjoying the apple pressing, catching up with friends and neighbours, and making the most of a wonderful community event.

Well done to everyone who attended, volunteered, and helped make the day such a success. Events like these are a great reminder of the strong community spirit we are fortunate to have here at Willey.

We’ve decided to do one last Coffee Morning for this year! It’s certainly becoming a favourite among many of our supporters. Come and join us and bring some friends, and you’ll see why. Last month we had local artist Betsy Smith with us. This time we hope to have an NHS representative who will informally chat about the changes happening in 2028 to the Princess Royal Hospital Telford and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. So if you’d like to know what’s what; gather round. ☕️🍰🍪😁

Yes, it’s true! On Sunday 27th September Willey Village Hall are holding their Apple Pressing Day starting at 12 o’clock. and we’d love to see you there, with or without apples 🍎 🍏 There will be cakes, rolls, and hot drinks for sale from 12 and the bar will be open from 1.00 p.m. The Haycop Nature Reserve will be selling their wares in the Hall and Betsy Smith, artist, who many of you will remember from her time in Broseley, will be bringing some of her paintings to showcase. You’ll need cash for the Hall (apple pressing, food and drink) and the Haycop, but Betsy can take card payments if you want to buy a “Betsy” !
So get saving your regular w**e bottles for pasteurising (we do that for free) and plastic containers if you just want to keep the fresh juice or make c***r … we’ll also have juice to sell on the day …. Yum 😋 No juice, come anyway and enjoy a lovely Community Day … we’re signposted just off the B 4373
