At Faringdon Day Centre we have been remembering all those who gave their lives for our future.
Peter brought in objects from war time and told us so many interesting things about the past.
Joy played songs from the war and we very much enjoyed both of these occasions.
Thanks so much for helping us reflect and remember ♥️

A wonderful day was had by everyone at Faringdon Day Centre to celebrate 80 years since VE Day.
We had music, thanks Joy, fabulous outfits and great food.

Do you support someone who is living with dementia? Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed or unsure of how to cope?

We run regular information sessions to support family carers and other unpaid, informal carers. The sessions are free and the next one is in Wantage - at Charlton Lodge Care Home on the Kingsgrove Estate.

During the session, we'll talk about the different types of dementia, explore approaches on how to deal with different behaviours, and we'll take a look at the services and benefits available to carers in Oxfordshire. There will also be plenty of time to share any concerns and ask questions.

People with dementia are very welcome to come along too.

The session is free, but you will need to register by emailing [email protected]. We will then send you instructions on how to join the session.

The cafe is being held at Richmond Villages Letcombe Regis (just outside Wantage) from 10.30 on Wednesday, 26th February.
