Last Saturday afternoon we had a lovely Friendship and Support team Afternoon Tea 🫖🍰🧁😋
Our volunteers support our tenants with love and friendship…which makes HIAB so special. Each one of our tenants is visited regularly and shown how valued they are as individuals and part of our community.
The opportunity for the F&S team to get together to support and pray for one another and HIAB is an important part of how we work and putting our Christian faith into action!

From this to this! A massive thank you to Peter and his son Will for clearing up the garden of our vacant property so that it is all in order for the new tenants! Our volunteers are what makes HIAB so special 😊

Following the wonderful concert given by Bromley Singers in aid of HIAB, we received an amazing £450! A huge thank you to the choir and everyone who attended and supported us.

We are delighted to share that another one of our tenants has now moved on to their own property with Bromley Council. We thank The Lord for answering our prayers and our tenant and baby are now able to start setting up their own family home. We now ask for prayer that we will soon be welcoming a new small family to HIAB.

Thank you Bromley Homeless for an excellent Bromley Homeless Health seminar yesterday. Very interesting and inspiring speakers and a great opportunity to network and meet other local organisations working hard to support the homeless in our borough. I was particularly impressed with Dr Kim Griffiths and his presentation on Trauma Informed Care. “Offering real choice and support that fits the person and not the system” is going to be my focus going forward.
We are in this together.

Thank you to Toria from Christian Family Concern for inviting me to visit them today in Croydon.

CFC provide supported accommodation for homeless first time mums, to enable them to move on to their own homes and back to education or work. The mums have shared facilities or sole accommodation with regular meetings with a support worker as well as group activities and a nursery on site.

Amazing work being done to support these young women give themselves and their child a future.
