Help Shape the Future of Health and Social Care in Bromley

Healthwatch Bromley is run by Your Voice in Health and Social Care (YVHSC).

YVHSC has been working across London for over 10 years to help people share their thoughts about health and care services.

We’re launching a new survey to make sure your voice still shapes the future of local health and social care in Bromley, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Hillingdon, Lewisham and Tower Hamlets.

Healthwatch Bromley Report: Access to and use of health and social care services by young carers in Bromley

Young carers play a crucial role in providing care for family members or friends facing various health challenges, but their individual experiences and needs can be hard to recognise.

This project aimed to gather comprehensive feedback on how young carers navigate health and social care services for themselves and the people they support. By identifying barriers and challenges they face—ranging from lack of emotional support to access to resources—our goal is to inform and enhance the delivery of services tailored to their circumstances.

Please sign our petition to review the decision to abolish independent local Healthwatch

The NHS 10 Year Health plan proposes to abolish Healthwatch England and 152 local Healthwatch, and transfer functions ‘in-house’ to local authorities and NHS Integrated Care Boards once legislation has passed. This is a result of the Review of patient safety across the health and care landscape, led by Dr Penny Dash.

If this goes ahead as planned, it will remove the only collective, independent and statutory opportunity for the public to hold the NHS and social care system to account.
