HELP BRING 1ST BRIXTON AND YEALMPTON SCOUTS BACK TO LIFE—VOLUNTEER TODAY!
The 1st Brixton and Yealmpton Scouts have been inspiring young people to build skills, embrace adventure, and create lifelong friendships for decades. We’ve been at the heart of our community, sparking curiosity and confidence in every young person who joins our ranks.
But now, we need your help.
The challenges of recent years, particularly during the pandemic, forced our beloved Beaver Colony, Cub Pack, and Scout Troop to pause. We’re determined to rebuild and create opportunities for the next generation to thrive.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering with the Scouts is an incredibly rewarding way to give back, make new connections, and grow personally.

Who Can Volunteer?
You don’t need any prior experience—just a willingness to help and a passion for working with young people. Training and support are provided, and you’ll be joining a supportive network of enthusiastic volunteers.
We’re looking for:
• Team members: Help run weekly meetings for Beavers (ages 6-8), Cubs (ages 8-10), or Scouts (ages 10-14).
• Event Helpers: Support special events, camps, and outings.
• Behind-the-Scenes Stars: Lend your skills in administration, fundraising, or managing equipment.
Volunteering can be as flexible as your schedule allows—whether you can spare an hour a week or help occasionally, your time will make a big difference.

We’re hosting a family-friendly Open Event at the Scout Hut, Steer Point Road, Brixham, PL8 2BN, on Sunday, 23rd March, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Come along to:
• Try out exciting activities like climbing, crafting, and outdoor games.
• Gather around the campfire for s’mores.
• Learn how you can get involved and meet our friendly team.
