I’ve been dancing for over 20 years, and this project brings together everything I’ve picked up along the way—from the zoo like milongas of Buenos Aires to the cosy chaos of European dance floors. El Corte in the Netherlands is my tango home, and yes, I still get emotional when I talk about it. I teach close embrace tango with a focus on musicality, subtlety, and not kicking your fellow dancers (u
nless absolutely necessary). My aim is to help dancers develop their own style, grounded in solid technique and connection—especially useful in small spaces where elbows and egos need to stay tucked in. Beyond the dance, I bring in tools from my other lives: Zen Yoga teacher, mindfulness facilitator, Action Learning practitioner, and recovering martial artist. These practices support body awareness, moving meditation, and thoughtful learning. I also integrate Nonviolent Communication—because tango is intense enough without miscommunication.
