The Community Larder at The Edge CIC in Brixham is open Monday to Thursday from 11am till 4pm.
You’ll find us about halfway up Bolton Street, with the Community Larder right at the end of the building. The door is open to everyone.
Inside you might find:
Fresh fruit
Vegetables
Bread
Sandwiches
Bakery items
Yoghurts
Salads
Chilled food
And other supermarket surplus that would otherwise go to waste
What’s available changes every day depending on what we collect, so you never quite know what might turn up.
There’s no referral needed.
No forms to fill in.
If you need it, take it.
Some people visit to help stretch the weekly shop a bit further. Others simply want to stop good food ending up in the bin. Everyone is welcome.
We also run a no-referral food bank for local residents who may need a little extra support.
Sometimes community support looks complicated. Sometimes it’s as simple as an open door and a bag of shopping.

Wonderful (and timely) short film here about the value of preserving community spaces and the impact they have strengthening and supporting our community. With our future here so uncertain this is a lovely reminder of the value of the work we do and inspiring to rub shoulders with such lovely peers!
