It's been a great week for Scouting this week for Windmill Hill.

Squirrels and Beavers learning about remembrance day and making Poppies. Squirrels tug of war was great, all of them against the young leaders was so funny!

Cubs had a fantastic session of making toothbrush robots.

Our Scouts had a Treasure Island walk around the harbour, learning some key facts about Bristols history. Narrated by a real pirate and his parrot!

Even with the poor weather, that doesn't stop our leaders in delivering a quality programme ❤️ 😍

5 years down, how many more is in my future?

When I started the group as a Group Scout Leader my group had 9 adult volunteers and 36 kids over 3 sections.
We now have 41 adults, 133 kids and with introducing Squirrels, 4 sections. To the next 5 years 🍺

We desperately needed a bigger storage space at our HQ so we expanded our old shed and tripled our space by having a new shed hand built by Steve https://banecarpentry.co.uk/

Shelving built by one of our own Beavers leaders Raven, aka Jon http://Madebyjonlloyd.com

Great job Steve and Jon, everyone is super happy with the results!

It's that time again.....

After the amazing camp we have just had with some questionable weather, it turns out the cubs tents are about as much use as a chocolate teapot.

We have ways of trying to get companies to help us but will need some dosh along the way.

Seeing all of the adults there this weekend grafting to give the kids the best possible times, it is a humbling experience.

These guys are volunteers, the hours they put in are incredible.

So if you can spare me a few quid towards the cubs tents, I'd be grateful.

Anything is better than nothing:

Please donate here. Thanks all ❤️

So it turns out that the cubs tents aren't exactly waterproof..... Quick whip round again, please give if you can, thanks all ❤️

What a way to end the last session of the year, with a special end of year show show, the Great Baldini 🎩 🪄 🔮

Squirrels and Beavers came together to see the amazing act, with plenty of adult and children interaction!
