When four badly damaged and decommissioned life-size dog collection boxes were destined for landfill, an art gallery and some very talented artists came to the rescue!
They have now been upcycled into beautiful pieces of artwork and are up for auction, with proceeds going to Guide Dogs - and one of them could be yours.
Jim Moir (aka Vic Reeves), Chris Packham, Geoff MacCormack (a close friend of David Bowie) and Loren Beven are the creators who have dreamed up the incredible decoration of the dogs. Each dog is also signed by the artist.
The auction is live Taylor Jones & Son’s website, and will close at 7:30pm during their Christmas party on Saturday 29th November. Liz, Alison and Pat, along with their guide dogs, will be attending the party too.
Please note the boxes are decommissioned as collection boxes and are being sold solely as art pieces. There is no Guide Dogs branding on them. We do not encourage any of our working collection boxes to be painted or decorated. Funds will be donated via the Deal, Dover and Sandwich Fundraising Group of Guide Dogs.
