We really enjoyed our online creative writing and story boarding series of socials this month πŸ’›πŸŒ»

The theme was permission to HOPE. As a community group who are committed to reimagining a world in which we feel seen. We understand how important it is to have HOPE.

Hope can be lost in moments but it can also be found, and this becomes easier in a community with other women who get it.

Here are some of the amazing drawings that members created in their Seen Sisters Journals. And we created some incredible poetry too 😍

Thank you to for co- facilitating and sharing inspiring examples from disabled artists such as Frida Khalo to get our creative juices flowing πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Thank you to the Circular ArtSpace for hosting our log crafts! 🌻

Our joyful friends at the Circular Arts Space (behind the crafty egg in Fishponds) have created a beautiful space for artists to showcase their work πŸŽ‰ You can visit wonderful exhibitions there for free and even buy paintings to support local artists! πŸ€—

Seen Sisters made log crafts at a recent social πŸŽ¨πŸ‘©πŸΎβ€πŸŽ¨πŸ‘©πŸΌβ€πŸŽ¨πŸ«Ÿ

They are now being displayed in Circular ArtSpace bus 🚌

Please do visit the bus and choose a log craft for a donation for our non profit community group. Your contributions would be so gratefully received πŸ’Έ

All proceeds will go directly towards solo women with invisible disabilities joyfully reimagining spaces together πŸ’›

We had the best time today at our social πŸ™ŒπŸΎ During collaging, a member made this and said... "This made me think of what we are doing here at Seen Sisters together, we are building something different".

We are solo women with invisible disabilities and we are celebrating who we are πŸŽ‰ We are taking up space and creating a world in which we feel seen. We are reimagining joyful spaces.

We had the best time coming together this afternoon πŸ’›

Legacy can come in many forms and creating a blueprint for joyful inclusive spaces is something we are all proud to be a part of creating together :)

🎨✨ Good company, messy tables, and a little bit of DIY nature magic. A Seen Sister designed and co-facilitated this nature arts social and we made some beautiful things! It was such a relaxed afternoon together. Thank you to the for hosting us.

We spent some time reflecting on the lived experience housing report we published last year recently. We considered some of the changes that are coming into force with the new renters rights bill. We talked about the potential pros and cons and that the true impact of policies could be different than intended. We will continue to support each other as a lived experience group in Bristol as we navigate housing challenges and reimagine joy together. If you are a funder and interested in true representation within housing policy and design, please reach out. We would love to hear. We are seeking partners for next steps. Here's part four of what we reflected on and shared about how to be a good friend to a Seen Sister πŸ’›

πŸ“š Learning is care.

Taking the time to understand someone's lived experience can make a world of difference.

β€’ Researching my condition
β€’ Learning about my disability, neurodivergence, or health condition
β€’ Being aware of able-bodied privilege
β€’ Being aware of immunity and not spreading germs
