We’re excited to announce our first ever YOUTH MUSIC DAY, held on Thursday 23rd July in collaboration with Emersons Green Youth

This FREE event is for ages 13-18, will take place outside or in marquees in beautiful garden surroundings, and includes:

Beatboxing with Hobbit (former world champion at Beatboxing Collective)

Songwriting with Lady Nade 🌈⛓️‍💥🫗🎭🌻 (Song of the year 2022 at Americana Awards)

Finger picking guitar with Declan Zapala (sell out Edinburgh Fringe artist)

Group Jamming, classical corner and more

Plus free pizzas and soft drinks!

Pre-existing youth bands can sign up to perform in the closing concert, along with demos from Lady Nade, Hobbit, David Massey , and Declan Zapala!

What better way to relax and hang out with likeminded young people (parents not allowed) two days after the end of term?

🎉 Festival Season Is Almost Here! 🎉

We're excited to announce that we'll be at Heathfest 2026 on 20th June!

The team will be delivering DJ workshops along with a range of fun and engaging activities in a relaxed, welcoming environment with the CHOW Team. You might even catch us spinning a DJ set from the main stage! 🎧🔥

What is CHOW?

CHOW (Community Hub On Wheels) is exactly what it sounds like—a youth and community space on wheels! 😁

Our mobile hub features:
✅ Interactive activities
✅ A fully equipped kitchen
✅ Comfortable seating areas
✅ A safe, welcoming space to chat, connect, and get involved in positive activities

We're passionate about bringing people together and creating opportunities for our community to connect, learn, and have fun.

Guess what everyone — we’ve got some more awesome news to share for those living near Pomphrey Hill!

We are now officially based at Pomphrey Hill 🎉

Every Wednesday from 3:30pm–5:30pm, we’ll be bringing the energy, activities, and good vibes.

Our mission is to provide high-quality alternative activities and create a safe, relaxed space where young people can come and hang out each week.

👥 Ages 10–18 — come down and say hello!

Our sessions are informal, relaxed, and completely youth-led. Here’s what you can expect:

Attention Mums, Dads and Young People!

Our Summer Project planning at Emersons Green Village Hall is officially under way!

Awesome news — we are gearing up for the summer holidays and it’s all looking very exciting. These sessions will be for 10-18 and as you will see below something for everyone.

What will we be doing with and for young people?

Gardening Project 🌱
We’ll be creating a bench and garden area together. This will be fun, practical and something different for young people to get involved with.
The project will be led by Shea and will focus on creating a relaxing space for the whole community to enjoy.

Cooking Workshops 🍳
Our friend Helen will be running some fantastic cooking workshops which are hands-on, practical and creative.
This is a great opportunity for young people to learn new skills and take something home with them too!

Chilling on CHOW 🎮🎵
Josh and Troy will be running activities including gaming, music and probably some wonderfully random stuff as well!
If you just need somewhere to chill, have a chat or spend time with others, come on down — we are here for you. 😁

Things have been wonderfully busy lately 😆 Our sessions have been full of energy, laughter, group chats, and plenty of cooking! Young people are loving having a space that is theirs — somewhere to relax, socialise, and have fun outside of school and home.

Life skills are incredibly important, and sadly they can sometimes be overlooked. We are passionate about helping young people build confidence and practical skills so they can thrive as they grow older, look after themselves, and support others too.

All of our sessions are free for young people. Current locations and times are:

Tuesdays

📍 Emersons Green Village Hall – 6pm–8pm

Wednesdays
📍 Emersons Green Village Hall – 3.30pm–5.30pm

What lovely feedback! 😍

Our little legend has been sharing their thoughts, and it’s been an absolute joy to engage with them. Always full of laughter and banter, they throw themselves into everything with real enthusiasm and energy.

Helen, our friend and professional cook, has worked wonders with the Big Lyde Social Group—to the point where all our young people are asking, “Shea, can we do more cooking?” 😆

So much fun all around. Let the young be young, and let them learn through experience.
