What a fantastic write-up in the Downend Voice 📰💙

We’re so grateful to see Jo and Kim recognised for their incredible achievement in climbing Kilimanjaro in support of The Cameron Williams Foundation and Su***de Prevention UK. What they have done is nothing short of inspiring — taking on such a tough physical and mental challenge to raise awareness and support men’s mental health.

Their strength, determination, and commitment to this cause means more than words can say. They didn’t just climb a mountain — they helped shine a light on an issue that affects so many, and we are so proud to have them supporting the foundation.

Thank you Jo and Kim for everything you’ve done, and thank you to Downend Voice for such a brilliant feature.

Let’s keep talking, supporting, and looking out for one another 💙

There is still time to donate, Jo and Kim will be keeping the GoFundMe open for a few more weeks. If you’d like to support them, follow the link, no matter how small the donation, every penny counts.

🥳 They did it… Jo and Kim made it to the Roof of Africa, taking Cameron with them. 🤍🏔️

We are so incredibly proud of them both.

Standing at 5,895 metres (19,341 ft) above sea level, Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world. Reaching the summit is no small feat.

Their journey would have taken them through five different climate zones — from humid rainforest, through moorland and alpine desert, all the way to arctic conditions at the top. Temperatures can range from 25–30°C at the base to -10°C or lower at the summit, especially during those early morning summit pushes.

Climbers spend days trekking between camps, sleeping in tents, battling altitude, exhaustion and freezing night temperatures before making the final climb to Uhuru Peak.

Jo and Kim have shown strength, resilience and heart every single step of the way — carrying Cameron’s spirit with them to the highest point in Africa. 🤍

They are now safely on their way back down the mountain. As soon as Jo is back on the ground and able to send pictures through, we will share more of their incredible adventure.

If you would like to donate, there is still time:

Congratulations Jo & Kim — what an adventure, what a challenge, what an achievement.
We are so, so incredibly proud of you both.

💙 A huge well done to Julie Gwatkin 💙

Julie has helped raise vital awareness for men’s mental health at UWE Bristol, while also raising an amazing £184 for two incredibly important charities — Andy’s Man’s Club and Su***de Prevention UK.

The Cameron Williams Foundation was proud to support Julie by providing posters and coasters, which she used during her Coffee & Cake event. These were then distributed across cafés at the university, helping to raise awareness and start important conversations.

☕🧁 If you’re interested in running your own event and would like posters and/or coasters (beer mats), please get in touch with the team at The Cameron Williams Foundation.

These events matter more than people realise.
If it gets just one person talking, that’s a life saved.

Thank you to everyone for your ongoing support in helping us raise as much awareness as possible for men’s mental health 💙
