I’m honestly a bit lost for words… I’m so proud to share that I was named winner of the “Heroic Contribution” Award at the Wales & West Our Way Awards.
This recognition means more to me than I can properly explain, because it’s not just about me, it’s about every single person who has supported CPR awareness and defibrillator access in our communities.
After losing a fellow driver to a sudden cardiac arrest, I felt I had to do something. That moment led to the creation of BristolResus4All, and since then the mission has been simple:
👉 More defibrillators
👉 More people confident to do CPR
👉 More lives saved
While working full-time as a bus driver, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside amazing organisations, colleagues, friends and community members to:
❤️ Bring defibrillators back into service
❤️ Install new defibs and bleed kits in public places
❤️ Deliver CPR & defibrillator awareness sessions so more people feel ready to step in during an emergency
This award belongs to everyone who has donated, shared posts, attended training, checked a defibrillator, or simply helped spread the word. You are all part of this.
Thank you to First Bus, First West of England and the Our Way Awards for the honour and thank you to my family for the constant support while I chase this mission around Bristol and beyond.
We keep going. More awareness. More equipment. More lives saved. 💚
