The Carpenters Food & Support

01/10/2026

We have had our first harvest festival donations! Thank you St Oswald's for your lovely gift.

Please remember that Wed between 8am and 11am is the best time to drop donations in especially if there are fresh, chilled or frozen products.

If this doesn't suit, and you have a large amount, please email us as we may be able to arrange 1 or 2 of our volunteers to be there to receive it.

However, the Centre staff will also take food in for us.

Thank you in advance

Please do keep promoting us as a place to donate Harvest Festival goodies.
Thank you for all your support.

This time of year is vitally important to the stocking of our shelves and helping us cope with the inevitable increase in support as the winter months loom. As people's thoughts turn towards celebrating the harvest over the next few weeks, we hope you can encourage any contacts you have to consider donating their festival goods to us.

Please share. Gift Aid can make a real difference

We like to give a birthday gift to any child whose birthday falls during the time their family is being served at the foodbank. We still have a few toys left from Christmas for the younger children but for the teenagers we struggle. Our last huge bar of chocolate was given out today but other gifts would also be appreciated.
Keep up the good work of spreading the word for us

Please share away!

If anyone has a spare hour or two over the summer on a Wednesday to help our team, please email us. Looking particularly at the hours 8am - 10am and 12pm - 2.30pm. Many thanks.

Following a recent TV feature, social media has, as it often does, generated many strong opinions about the situations of others. If you have any questions about how we operate or who we support, please contact us directly. We would much rather share our real experience and answer your questions than have assumptions made on our behalf.
